I just love both the sketch from The Sweetest Thing

and the color challenge from The Color Throwdown.

I stamped my background, used my Cricut, inked 

my flowers to make them black, and pulled out some 

scrap paper in the colors needed. 

Skipping Stones Design Sketch #72 & Play Date Cafe Challenge #77

I had fun playing with Laurie Schmidlin's sketch.  She is the guest sketch artist over at Skipping Stones Design.
It is a great design with many, many possibilities.  When I saw the colors for The Play Date Cafe Challenge I was really excited.  Green and brown are my two favorite colors to incorporate in my cards and wardrobe.  I did take to the liberty to fudge the white with a more cream color due to the pattern paper.  Hope my card will still count.

Skipping Stones Design Sketch #71 & Lawnscaping Challenge #7

This week's sketch by Laurie Schmidlin at Skipping Stones Design is such a versatile sketch to use.  I just love it and plan to make more cards using it.  I decided to make a get feeling better card because my aunt-in-law isn't doing so well.  I wanted a very elegant card to send her.  I used some scrap papers lying around from my mother's day cards.  I really love how this card turned out, so I will be off to the craft store this week to buy more paper.

I also found a new, great blog--Lawnscaping Challenge.  Be sure to check out their great stamps.  I can't wait to buy some!  For this challenge you had to make your own patterned paper with stamps.  I stamped the background with Teresa Collins--Posh stamp set.

Tuesday Trigger--A Burst of Colors

This week's Tuesday Trigger--A Burst of Color was so much fun!  I love colors and I got to put tons of them into this card.  I love the crochet (knitted?) flowers.  I so wanted to crochet some flowers and put on this card, but I don't know how to make them.  Hmm...maybe I need to take a class and learn!   Well, here is my creation.
