Debbie's card features Basic Frames, Cocktail Mixer, Frames & Tags, and A7 Frames & Banners by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #sketchchallenge, #nndstamps,#cocktailcards, #beachcards, #beveragecards

I started my card by swiping mini ink pads across a piece of card stock. I used the Basic Frames die set to create the inner panel. I then die cut the zig-zag edging using the  Frames & Tags die set. I adhered these panels to the card base. I pulled out the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. I stamped a trio of drinks, fussy cut them out, and colored with Copic markers. I then create the mini-banner using the A7 Frames & Banner die set and stamped the sentiment. I added a few enamel dots. I love how this one turned out!  Now is it 5 o'clock somewhere?

Now it's your turn:

The Sea is (still) Calling

I love using this cover die because it makes for a fun watery backdrop.  I was inspired by the colors for the {PIN}spirational Challenge-Blue and Green, so I used Distress Oxide inks in varying shades of greens and light blues to create the "water". For the center panel, I used some forgotten embossing powder by Hero Arts--Sand which makes a fun sandy beach. I especially like the texture of it. At last, I added the furry feline. I like how it turned out.

Inky Paws Challenge #253 Week 4

Inky Paws Challenge #253

Week 4 Inspiration

Create a project with a friendship theme.

You have until Friday, June 26, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!

Inside:

I started my card by picking the sentiment from the Flamingo Flock stamp set, but decided I didn't really want to use it with flamingos. So I searched my stamp sets, and pulled out the Heartfelt Meows stamp set.  Bingo!  Surrounding one's self with furry kittens would definitely make one happy!  I stamped and cut it out using the Heart Frames die set. Now what?  I looked through my paper pads and decided the bright colors and fun patterns on the New Retro paper pack would work purr-fectly. So I pulled colors from the papers to shade the kitten accessories.  Then I looked through the Layout dies and decided on Card Layout 5.  I used scraps from the paper pads to make the little triangles. At last, I assembled everything except the sentiment.  I played around with how to adhere it to the front of the card. I tried it on a banner. I bubble cut around it.  Nothing was looking quite right. I really like seeing all the bright papers. Seriously, the inspiration of the card had to be on the card, so I chose to put it inside the card and leave the front without a sentiment.

Now it's your turn:
