Season's Greetings by Debbie features Framework, Hardwood, Holiday Foilage, Holiday Greetings, and Fireside Friends by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcard, #dogcard, #holidaycards, #christmascards, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking

For my card, I created a black background with a hardwood finish. I used the retiring Hardwood stencil and cut it with the postage-edged die from the Framework die set. I then created the Kraft panel using gold foil with the Holiday Foliage Hot Foil Plate. I added a red and a green border to pull in more of the challenge colors.  My star feature is the image from the Fireside Friends stamp set.  Those darlilng critters remind me of my own fur babies that become heat hogs whenever the fireplace is turned on!  I used gold foil to create the sentiment using the Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plate. I love all the textures in this card and the coziness of it.

Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see how you use the challenge sketch!

Happy Holidays by Debbie features Holiday Greetings, Scandi Christmas, Meowy Christmas, and Pines & Holly; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #holidaycards, #christmascards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

First, I have to say these colors are amazing to work with!  I went with a CAS style because I wanted to showcase that amazing reindeer from the Scandi Christmas stamp set. I heat embossed the image by stamping in black and usign a clear embossing powdeer.  I fussy cut the image out.  Then I pulled out a Kraft card base.  I added a black stripe and then put on the houndstooth strip. This paper was a scrap from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. For my green element, I die cut out four pine boughs using the Pines & Holly die set.  I used the Holiday Greetings Hot Foil plates for my gold sentiment.  I added a few gold sequins for a bit of sparkle.  I love how this turned out.

Now what will you create?  I look forward to seeing it!

Debbie

For my card, I distressed an evening background. I then used silver texture paste with the Snowfall stencil. Once dry, I die cut using the scallop-edged frame from the Frames & Flags die set. I added snow using the Land Borders die set. I colored the trio of kitties from the Caroling Newton stamp set using Copic markers.  I added Liquid Pearls to create the texture on the little hat and ball.  I adhered with dimensional tape.  I then stamped the sentiment from the  Cat Christmas Tree stamp set on a rectangular piece of card stock. I love how this card turned out.

I made a fun, playful card for the upcoming holidays.  I began with a green card stock that I cut using the scallop-edged frame die from the  Frames & Flags die set. I placed this on a black card base. I then added papers from the Christmas Time and the Canine Christmas paper pads. I placed my little Santa (colored using Copic and Spectrum Noir pens) on a bit of vellum. This cute little Santa is from the

Dear Santa stamp set.

I used the challenge for a fun coffee-themed card. My card features papers from the Coffee House Stories paper pad. I used the Framework die set to give the paw print paper the postage-edging. I pulled the card together using the little lady from the Sips & Stories stamp set who is enjoying a relaxing day with her ferry feline friend!

I went in a different direction than my usual style.  I didn't use any cute NND critters on my card!  Imagine that!  Instead I used a variety of dies from the Frames & Flags and the Framework die set to create the scallop-edged layers. The center panel is from the Autumn paper pad I added some leaves and an acorn using the dies from the Autumn Leaves die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Autumn Newton stamp set on a little blue banner

I wanted to showcase the Rusty Orange a lot in my card, so I pulled a rusty orange card stock for my base.  I then pulled a honey yellow card stock and distressed it with brown ink using the Serene Stripes stencil.  I love the texture this stencil gives a card.  I die cut the yellow layer with a stitched frame die from the Frames & Flags die set. I adhered it to a white scallop-edged frame by cutting with a die from the Framework die set. I then stamped and colored Newton from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set. I used my Scan 'n' Cut to cut it, but there is a coordinating die if you prefer.  I added the sentiment from the Autumn Newton stamp set on a banner (Frames & Flags die set). I love how the blue milk can pops against all the autumn colors.

I used the black & yellow starry paper from the Halloween Time paper pad and die cut the paper and card base using the scallop-edged square die from the Frames Squared die set. I used Distress Oxide ink to distress my background and then added the tombstones and tree using the Spooky Line Street stencil.  I stamped the sentiment before adding the little puppy ghost from the Spooky Line Street stencil. To break up the yellow and black color scheme by adding some fuchsia stars and twine.  I love the shimmer of the ghost!

I have a fun Halloween card!

I created a slimline card with a spooky background.  I used the Spooky Street stamp set to add tombstones, a bat, and a tree to my distressed background with the moon barely shining behind the rolling hills.  Enjoying this spooky setting are two vampire kitties.  I colored them with Copic markers.  I love the teal colored capes!  These critters are from two different stamp sets:  Batty Newton and the Count Newton stamp sets.I added a black scallop-edged frame (Slimline Frames & Portholes die set) to add more drama.

Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see your scary or cute Halloween cards!

I have two cards using the same papers but for different occasions.

You're electrifying by Debbie features Frames & Flags, Framework, Halloween Meows, Canine Christmas, and Franken-Newton by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #halloweencards, #catcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
I started by selecting the purple striped paper from the Halloween Meows paper pad and the green hounds tooth paper from the Canine Christmas paper pads. I used the scallop-edge frame die from the Framework die set on both papers.  I then stacked them together and cut my diagonal strips. I then cut two white pieces using the same die.  I alternated the papers on one of the white scalloped pieces.  I then used the other pieces and repeated the process. For the Halloween card, I placed the striped frames on a white scalloped layer (Frames & Flags die set) and stamped the sentiment on a banner using the same die set  I proceeded to color the Bride of Frankenstein in shades of purple and green with just a splash of orange.

Grateful for you by Debbie features Frames & Flags, Framework, Halloween Meows, Canine Christmas, Chrysanthemum, and Fall Roundabout by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #floralcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

I took the second striped, scalloped piece and wrapped some jute twine around it before adhering it to a white card base.  I then colored some mum blooms from the Chrysanthemum stamp set and popped it up with some 3D foam tape.  I used a sentiment from the Fall Roundabout stamp set. I love how both cards turned out.  I also loved not wasting any of the pattern paper and seeing how to use the combination of papers for two different occasions.

Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see how you use the challenge sketch!

I have a fun Halloween card!

My first instinct for this sketch was to use pattern paper, but I wanted to challenge myself to try something different.  Therefore I pulled out the
Ghosts stencil and some tape for masking.  I placed tape over the stencil at a diagonal and used distress ink.  I continued to do this using different colored inks to create the stripes.  I die cut using the scallop-edged die from the Framework die set. I place it on a larger scallop-edge layer (Frames & Flags die set) using paper from the Halloween Woofs paper pad. I changed the oval to a circle and used a die from the Circle Frames die set to create the black circle.  I used one of my favorite images from the Franken-Newton stamp set, and colored him in green, purple, and orange.  I added the Halloween sentiment on a couple of banners and then I put a little bat (Count Newton stamp set) for an extra touch!

Debbie

I have a beautiful autumn card using these beautiful colors!

I started by distressing a turquoise background die cut using the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. I then found the plaid paper that matched the challenge colors wonderfully.  This paper is from the Autumn paper pad. I loved the sunflower arrangement from the Fall Harvest stamp set, so I combined it with the sunflower image from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set.  Don't they coordinate amazingly?  I then added the gold foil sentiment (Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plates) on a little banner.  The total effect is a gorgeous autumn card!

Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see how you use the summer theme with your Newton's Nook Designs' products!
