Enjoy Your Day Poolside

I continue to have fun with Catherine Poolers Designs, Take a Dip shaker die set. As it gets hotter, one of  my favorite get-aways is to my neighbor's pool!  This card showcases some of the cutest critters. These pool buddies are from Sunny Studio's Sealiously Sweet stamp set.  I used Kat Scrappiness' Blue Faux Glitter paper for the water. The polkadotted paper from an older Carta Bella pad called Sew Lovely. At last, the sentiment was pulled from Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Summer Vacation (retired) stamp set.  a Combination of 4 company's products for one sweet card!

Hey Dad

With Father's Day approaching, I thought it was time to make a card for my husband from the cats. We currently have two cats, Catapult and Velcro.  We lost our beloved Peevey 15 years ago, but I thought he needed to be part of the card. I wanted more masculine paper, so I pulled a very old My Mind's Eye paper pad--Adventure. The colors and patterns make for a great "manly" vibe. I then die cut the striped paper with a die from Newton's Nook Designs-Frame & Flags die set. I cut a small piece using the blue paper. I added a cream trim to separate the carpet and the wall. I then stamped the TV set from a beloved stamp set by Paper Smooches--Boob Tubes. I then did some masking and stamped the little kittens from Lawn Fawn's Happy Couple stamp set. I then stamped the kitty from Lawn Fawn's Keep on Swimming stamp set.  I colored with Copic markers and did some fussy cutting. As I arranged things, I felt that the "room" was missing, so I pulled out Newton's Nook Designs Cozy Home stamp set. I stamped the little table and the vase, colored, and fussy cut.  I arranged everything and adhered to the panel.  I then cut the wood panel strip and added it to the card base before adding the panel.  My final touch was stamping the sentiment from the Boob Tubes stamp set.  I think this is going to make a wonderful Dad's Day card!

Thanks for being a friend

I recently purchased a "destashed" Lawn Fawn set called Keep on Swimming. It was definitely worth the purchase as this set is purr-fect for scene building. I created a little room using paper from the Echo Park Firefly paper pad for carpet, and for the paneled walls I used Echo Parks'  Cool Wood Grains. I die cut my panel with Newton's Nook Designs' Frames & Flags die set. I then stamped and fussy cut the images from the Lawn Fawn set and colored with Copic markers. I used dimensional tape to pull up the elements. The sentiment came from Lawn Fawn's Critters at the Park stamp set.

This is a simple design, but I love how it turned out.

Inky Paws Challenge #253

Week 1 Inspiration

Create a project with a friendship theme.

You have until Friday, June 26, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!

Debbie's tea card features Pug Hugs, Puppy's Bubble Tea, Bubbly, Frames & Flags, and Circle Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnookdesigns, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #coffee_crafts, #friendcards, #teacards, #puppycards

I first created the backgroud using Distress Inky with the Bubbly stencil and then used the scallop-edged frame from the Frames & Flags die set. I cut a trio of vellum circles using the Circle Frames die set. For my focal image, I stamped and fussy cute the puppy from the Puppy's Bubble Tea stamp set. I colored her with Copic markers. I added a little hair bow using a small stamp from the Pug Hugs stamp set. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the sentiment on one of the circles.  I adhered everything using Precision Craft Glue and 3D foam tape. To hide a few glue dots, I added a few enamel dots. I love the pop of green with the purple.

I liked this card so much that I made a companion card using the colors in reverse. I used Newton's Bubble Tea stamp set.

I couldn't decide whether to make a feline or a canine card, so I made one of each. For my feline birthday card, I used the music-lovin' Newton from the Newton's Mix Tape stamp set. I added more musical touches using the Music Notes stencil to create the backdrop.  I created a banner using the yellow-striped paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad. My finishing touches included a margarita from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set and a birthday hat from the Newton's Bright Birthday stamp.

For my canine version, I used the puppy from the Puppy's Mix Tape stamp set with a margarita from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. I used the yellow-striped paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad as well as papers from the New Retro paper pack. That pink shimmery panel was a Retro Mix Toner Front. My banner uses a die from the Banner Trio die set.

I had a great time playing with the retro release products, and I love how uniquely different each card turned out!

For this week's card, I wanted to make an ocean-themed card using one of the ladies from the Summer Moments stamp set.  I looked through my summer paper stacks and thought it would be fun to use papers from the the Seaside pad.  I pulled the navy waves, red striped, and anchor papers, but struggled with the horizontal strip.  I finally went to the Black & White pad and pulled out the gray polka dotted sheet. I used the  Circle Frames and the Frames & Flags die sets for the circle and banner elements. To finish, I added some enamel dots.  I really like the nautical feel to this card vs. a sandy beach feel.

For this week's card, I went with a birthday theme. I choose a trio of papers from the Birthday Time paper pad. I created the polka dotted banner using the Frames & Flags die set. I then stamped and used my Scan'n'Cut to cut the playful puppy trio from the Birthday Barks stamp set. I colored using Copic Markers. Before adhering with 3D tape, I added some pink twine behind the image for some texture. I then stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Essentials stamp set and cut using a die from the Frameworks die set. I loved how this card turned out!  It is so fun and festive!

For the horizontal panel, I thought it would look great to make a shelf of books using the Bookmark II die set. Once I made a lot of different books out of scrap paper, I looked through my NND stamps to find one with books on it.  I haven't used Puppy's Reading List stamp set for some time. Once I had this planned, I pulled out the paw print paper from theA Dog's Life paper pad.  I assembled and adhered the back panel pieces. I tried lots of different ideas for the vertical panel--plain cardstock, different pattern papers--but the panel hid so many books that I had just spend time creating. I really didn't want to hide them, so I decided on vellum.  Keeping the with the reading theme, I again used the Bookmark II die set, but this time for the bookmark element. I cut the bookmark down to match the sketch. I added some twine at the top.  I used the banner die from the Frames & Flags die set with the yellow striped paper. The book and banner papers came from the Bright Basics (red) and the Pastel Basics (yellow) paper pads. I love how easy it is to mix and match papers in different sets to get exactly what you want. I love how this card turned out!

I used the TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 41 to design this card. I create the circles using the Circle Frames die set. For this card, I wanted to make a bright, summery card with the challenge colors. I began by using the Hibiscus stencil with Distress Inks. I then cut the panel using the Frames and Flags die set to get the scallop-edging. I then used the Circle Frames die set to make the two circle elements using papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad and the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment. I stamped and colored the image from the Aloha Newton stamp set with Copic markers. To finish the card I added the sentiment from the Newton's Happy Hour stamp set and the little cocktail.
