Inky Paws Challenge #165 Reminder

Inky Paws Reminder

Have you had a chance to make a card for our latest Inky Paws Challenge

Here is my inspiration:

This is a super fun sketch, so I made a couple of cards hopefully to inspire you!

My first card showcases a Allis-Chalmers tractor and wagon. For this, I stamped the images from the Farming Fun stamp set, colored with Spectrum Noir markers, and fussy cut the images.  I then distressed my background paper with some green and brown stripes to mimic a planted field. I added a distressed hill using the Land Borders die set. On top of the hill sits a little barn from the Moo set stamp.  I stamped my white background with the postage-edge die from the Framework die set. I love how this turned out because it looks like a farmer is ready to begin his/her day at sunrise!

Reach for the stars by Debbie features Framework, Starfield, Newton's 4th of July, and Cosmic Newton by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #4thofjulycards, #cardmaking, #catcards
For my second card, I went in a totally different direction.  For this card, I used a starry background that used gold foil with the Starfield stencil on a blue distressed background. I added a gold frame using the scallop-edged frame from the Framework die set.  I die cut the banner from some scrap papers.  The cute feline on his little rocket is from the Newton's 4th of July stamp set.  I colored him with Copic Markers. On the rocket, I added silver and gold metallic ink for a bit of shimmer.  The sentiment is from the Cosmic Newton stamp collection.  The card base is embossed using a polka-dotted embossing folder that I've had in my stash for years.

Now it's your turn to use the sketch into a fabulous project using your Newton's Nook Designs products.
Will you be the lucky winner of a $20 store credit to NND or a FAVE pick?  Can't wait to find out!

Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #165

Time for a New Inky Paws Challenge!

Use the sketch to create your NND project!

Here's my inspiration!

Thinking of you by Debbie features Newton's Mug, Whispering Pines, Sea Borders, and Reindeer Roll Call by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #catcards, #coffeelovers, #coffeecards, #wintercards, #catcards

I used the sketch to create a window with a wintry scene.  I used the Whispering Pines stamp set to create the tree silhouettes. I added a valance by using the wavy die from the Sea Borders die set. I pulled the stag image from the Reindeer Roll Call stamp set to add to the mug from the Newton's Mug stamp set. I chose a wood-grain paper and a buffalo plaid Washi tape for a nice, warm, cabin-like feel.

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, January 28, 2022 at Midnight CST.

Inky Paws Challenge #164 Reminder

Haven't had time to play with our last Inky Paws Challenge colors?  No worries.  There's still time!

Create a project using the Colors: Candy Red, Cream, Cocoa Brown, and Pewter Gray.

Today I'm sharing a fun wintry card using the challenge colors.

Debbie's card features Festive Fawn, Land Borders, Snowfall, and Forest Scene Builder by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #wintercards, #cardmaking

The PNW's weather has been a bit snowy and a lot rainy!  My card, though, shows the beauty of a snowy day featuring the deer from the  Festive Fawns stamp set.  I opted not to put a sentiment on the front as I couldn't decided if I wanted this to be a Christmas card or a winter birthday card.  No matter, I think it turned out amazing with the snowy background using the Snowfall stencil.  I added dimension using the Land Borders die set to make several hilly horizon lines.  The colorful trees in the challenge colors were die cut using the Forest Scene die set.  I added some glitter on the trees and a bit of jute twine.

Now it's your turn to link up your project inspired by the challenge colors.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie's card features Snow Angel Newton, Snowfall, Meowy Christmas, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #cardmaking

My card features this playful kitten from the  the Snow Angel Newton stamp set.  I placed him on a snowy backdrop using the Snowfall stencil. I used the Frames & Flags die set for the kraft layer. Using strips of the red houndstooth paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad, I placed them on a cream card base. I added a bit of twine for a final touch.

Inky Paws Challenge #163 Reminder

Don't delay! Be sure to get your tags done for your chance to win a store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here'a a refresher.

Create a project using the Theme--Create a Tag!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge!

I wanted to use these amazing peppermint shaker elements that I got last year in my Christmas stocking!  And what better way than adding them to a shaker tag!  Can't you just these dangling from a gift!  They are super fun and simple to make. First, distress your tag base with Mixed Lawn Distress Oxide ink (or paper if you it on hand). Then die cut with the outline ornament die from the Ornament Shaker die set. While you have this die out, be sure to die cut a couple more out of a clear acetate plastic. Then stamp your holiday sentiment on each green base (Newton's Candy Cane and Ornamental Wishes stamp sets). Be sure to place the wide-border die over your base to line up the sentiment. I used my Misti tool to stamp more than once.  Use a bit of powder to dust everything to remove the static electricity.  Now it's time to die cut your thick foam with the wide-border die.  Adhere to your card base.  Sprinkle in your peppermint and jewel mixture. Then adhere the clear acetate over everything.  Now die cut your pattern paper with the thick-border die and adhere.  I used the fun papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. I then pulled some silver, glitter paper scraps for the ornament caps. I just love how these turned out.

Now it's your turn to link up your tags. Good luck on your chance at winning the $20 NND store credit!
Hugs,
Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #163

   Inky Paws Challenge #163!

Use the Theme--Create a Tag

to create your NND project!

You have until Friday, December 17, 2021 at Midnight CST. One lucky participant will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's my inspiration!

Debbie's tag set features Christmas Pheasant and Fancy Edges Tag by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #christmascards, #holidaytags, #holidaycards
I created these fun little tags using the mini-stamp image--Christmas Pheasant. I love the punny sentiment that comes with it, and it works wonderfully with a tag. My tags are cut using the Fancy Edges Tag die set with a heavy Kraft card stock. I pulled scraps of gingham paper in green and red to add to the tag. I was going with a country feel, so I opted for jute twine instead of ribbon.  I used Spectrum Noir markers to color my pheasants and gift boxes.

Tags are a fabulous way to personalize and spruce up a package.  If you plan in advance, you can use the same color scheme as your paper.

Hope you are inspired to join the Inky Paws team and link up Inky Paws! Here's hoping you have a wonderful holiday season!
Hugs,
Debbie

Here'a a refresher.

Create a project using this fabulous Sketch!

Today, I have a card just right for some snowy, wintertime fun!

You're Snow Much Fun by Debbie Features Snow Angel Newton, Framework, and Moose Mountain by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #wintercards, #catcards, #cardmaking

I am just loving the new release at Newton's Nook Designs. Newton looks like he is have a fabulous time making snow angels. This set is called Snow Angel Newton. I wanted a card filled with snowy touches, so I started by embossing my white background using a snowflake embossing folder. Then I added silver panels to get the shimmer of snow.  I die cut a white shimmery frame using the Framework die set and adding vellum behind it, so I could heat emboss the sentiment from the Moose Mountain stamp set in silver. I added some twine with silver thread in it as well as some sequins for more glittery fun. I added more sparkle with a gel pen to Newton's hat and scarf.

Inspired?  Be sure to link up by Friday, December 3, 2021.  One lucky participant will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!  Will it be you?

Happy holidays by Debbie features Dairy Christmas and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #christmascards, #cardmaking

The sketch is perfect to use up some of your paper stash!  I have quite the stash, so I pulled out this beautiful paper. The soft colors and variety of wintry patterns made the decision easy.  I used the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set for the card base. I then cut the three rectangles from some scraps. I thought the musical score paper would look nice behind the trio of farm critters from the Dairy Christmas stamp set  I stamped the sentiment on a banner and finished with a bit of gray & white twine. I love the soft pastel colors of this card.  The little touch of lavender works so well with the light teal!

I hope I have inspired you to come join us at the Inky Paws.
Until next week,
Happy Thanksgiving!

Inky Paws Challenge #161 Reminder & Coffee Lovers Blog Hop #4-7

Have you played yet?

Create a project using the colors--

Red, Dark Green, Light Green, and Brown

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! I am adding a touch of coffee to each card, so I can play with the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Did you know that Newton's Nook Designs is one of the amazing Super Sponsors?

A Christmas Espresso by Debbie features Circle frames, Pumpkin Latte, Meowy Christmas, Love Cafe', A Kitten Christmas, and Naughty or Mice by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #christmascards, #micecards, #coffeecards

I couldn't decide which mouse I liked the best, so I decided to make a set of four coffee-themed Christmas cards just perfect for adding a gift card to a local coffee shop!  I used the Circle Frames die set to make the card bases. The sweet mice are from the Naughty or Mice stamp set. I took the liberty to add a latte cup (Pumpkin Latte stamp set) to the first card by cutting off one of the presents. For the last card, I did some fussy cutting to add the latte cup between the mouse's hands!  The other two mice have a coffee cup from the Newton Loves Coffee next to them because wrapping and decorating requires lots of caffeine!  I used different papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. I love the bright colors on this paper set.  For the sentiment, I pulled the words "A Christmas" from the Kitten Christmas stamp set.  Then I used the word "espresso" from the  Love Cafe stamp set. I know that cutting words apart can be intimidating, but it allows for unique sentiments and doesn't hurt the stamps!

You have until  Friday, November 19, 2021 to enter.
There's a prize involved too, so don't delay - see more inspiration on our Inky Paws Challenge here!

Don't forget that the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is also going on!  Maybe you will be the lucky winner to the NND prize here too!  Would that be fabulous?
