Inky Paws Challenge #104 Reminder

There's still time to enter the Inky Paws Challenge with some fabulous colors!

Color Challenge

Create a project using the colors:

Yellow, Teal, Orange, and Brown.

Today I have another card to share and inspire you to join us at Inky Paws Challenge!

Meet you at the 19th hole by Debbie features Winston's Tee Time, Sky Borders, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

For my card, I wanted to use the Winston's Tee Time stamp set because I finally purchased it and wanted to get it inky!  I colored the two golfing bears in the challenge colors. For my background, I used the Sky Borders die set and yellow distress inks.  I then created a white golf course using the Land Borders die set. I placed the golfing buddies on the course and added the flag.  Then I stamped the sentiment in orange on a die cut banner using the Frame & Flags die set.  I added some tan and white twine as finishing touches.  I'm looking forward to giving this card to one of my neighbors who enjoys the community golf course. I hope you will join the Inky Paws Challenge!  There's a chance to win a $20 store credit which would be a wonderful way to buy the new August products available Friday, August 23!
Happy Crafting!

Here's to You!

Freshly Made Sketches is celebrating a big milestone--the 400th sketch!  Congrats on the big 4-0-0!
My card features a much beloved stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs. It's the Freshly Squeezed stamp set that is being retired.  There's still some left for only $8.99!  Anyway, I decided to make the stand a margarita stand instead of a lemonade stand!  (I'll have two, please!)  I included a margarita from the Cocktail Mixer set. I added a citrus green and white polka dotted washi tape, some white accent dots, and some lemon/white twine!

We totally Click

It's been awhile since playing with my Paper Smooches stamps.  I was inspired by the August Paper Smooches challenge.  I used the Totally Click stamp set.   I took a pretty literal interpretation of the challenge because as I buy supplies for my classroom, I HAVE to buy those multicolored Bic pens that you can get for next to nothing.  I buy enough to make it through the school year.  For whatever reason, these pens just make me smile when I correct my students' work!

Inky Paws Challenge #104

Hello and welcome!

Color Challenge

Create a project using the colors:

Yellow, Teal, Orange, and Brown.

You have until  Friday, August 23, 2019.

Here's my inspiration!

Paddle all your worries away by Debbie features Hardwood, Winston's Lake House, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

When I first saw these colors, I was a bit stumped but as I looked through my Newton's Nook stamp collection, I was drawn towards the Winston's Lake House stamp set.  I then pulled out the Hardwood stencil to create a wood grain back drop because it reminds me of the trees that surround all the lakes in the Pacific Northwest.  I used distress ink (Vintage Photo) with the stencil.  I then used the Framework die set.  For my central focal point, I used distress inks to blend a water and sunset background and die cut with a circle die.  I adhered the circle and heat embossed the sentiment in black.  I also added the dragonfly.  The canoe image was colored using Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.  I adhered it with foam tape.  For my final touch, I added orange & white twine at the top.

For even more inspiration on ways to use these amazing challenge colors, be sure to check out the Inky Paws Challenge blog. The design team used lots of different stamp sets!  You can also link up your project for your chance to win a $20 store credit at Newton's Nook Designs!

featuring GLITTER.

Now for my inspiration:
(Sorry for the photo quality. I'll try again tomorrow.)

I used the DRS Designs' Leonard Pig's Christmas List (digital format). This pig just makes me smile.  After printing the image, I colored the pig with Copic markers. The other images were colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I added several different colors of Stickles to add some glitter.  I then adhered the image to some glitter paper scraps.  I heat embossed the sentiment in white (Paper Smooches-Christmas Sampler).  I added some silver elastic twine and red rhinestones for my final touches!  Nice to get at least one Christmas card finished before December!
Now it's your turn to add Glitter to your project and link up at Cupcake Inspirations for your chance to win a prize from DRS Designs!

Inky Paws Challenge Reminder #103

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration
for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Theme Challenge

Create a project using the theme--Summer.

Today I have more inspiration for this Challenge!

Catch the purr-fect wave by Debbie features Newton's Perfect Wave, Waves & Splashes, Vitamin Sea, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I am so loving the newly released summer stamps & stencils from Newton's Nook Designs.  I began my card using the Waves & Splashes stencil to create some waves using a couple of distress oxide inks. Using Vintage Photo, I then distressed a sandy beach and die cut using the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set.  I used Spectrum Noir markers to color two of the image from the Newton's Perfect Wave stamp set.  I fussy cut them out and adhered.  For the feline catching a wave, I added dimensional foam tape.  I heat embossed the sentiment using a vintage brown powder to give it a sandy look.  I added a sand dollar and shells from the  Vitamin Sea stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you to join the IPC Summer Theme challenge.

I created an orange, yellow, and red background using acrylic paints.  I then die cut using a circle die (NND-Frame Squared) and stamped a sentiment (NND-Cuppa Cactus) on the circle.  I stamped several cacti and colored them using Spectrum Noir markers.  I added a different pattern of black & white washi tape to the edge of each card. For my final touch, I added dots using Enamel Accents.

I hope that I have inspired you to join Cupcake Inspirations and our Desert Theme Challenge.

I have been really love playing with the Tranquil Tides stamp and die set.
For this card, I stamped the coral image in seven different colors and die cut using the coordinating die.  I arranged them in a circle. I then embossed the sentiment in black and die cut using one of the circles from the Frames Squared die set. I added black and white polka dotted Washi tape on the edge and added some black enamel dots.

Inky Paws Challenge #102 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration
for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the sketch.

Here's my interpretation of the sketch!

It's Summer by Debbie features Newton's Summer Treats, Summer Scoops, Frames & Flags, and Frames Squared by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I've been enjoying a lot of ice cream lately which inspired me to make this card. I started by stamping in pink, teal, and lime green the ice cream cones using the Summer Scoops stamp set.  I used the same colors and added a teal strip and a lime green striped paper. I then die cut the pink scalloped circle on which I placed my ice cream lovin' feline from the Newton's Summer Treats stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in teal and a pink heart. I die cut the banner using the Frames & Flags die set.  The smile circle was die cut using the Frames Squared die set. I stamped the smile sentiment in teal and another pink heart was added.

Now it's your turn to use you Newton's Nook Designs' products to create a project using the above sketch. Link up at: Inky Paws Challenge!

Here's my inspiration!

Pina koala by Debbie features Sunscape, Serene Stripes, Pina Koala, Frames Squared, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I haven't used the Pina Koala stamp set nearly enough, so I pulled it out.  I decided he would look good with the sun shining behind him, so I used the Sunscape stencil and several distress inks.  Then I die cut using one of the dies from the Frames Squared die set.  I then wanted a bamboo look, so I decided to use the Serene Stripes stencil and another distress ink.  For the banner, I cut it out using the Frames & Flags die set on which I stamped the sentiment.  I colored the koala with my Prismacolor pencils.  I added the lime striped washi tape for my final touch.

Now it's your turn to create a project using the sketch.

Inky Paws Challenge #101 Reminder

There's still time to join the Inky Paws Challenge!
It's all about colors, which are so much fun!

Red, pink, lime green, light brown.

For my card, I decided to try my hand at a split-card design.

I started by created the background inside the card using Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and the Cloudy Sky  stencil.  I wanted these clouds to peek through the middle of the front.

For the front of the card, I did a lot of die cutting to create the top and bottom portions.  I used the Sky Borders Fence, and Land Borders die sets.  To connect the top and bottom portions, I made sure the sweet pig was adhered to both.  I then added the birthday pig (both pigs are from the Oink  stamp set) with his scrumptious birthday cake.  I thought it would be fun having a cow in the scene (I adore cows.), so I stamped and colored the cow from the Moo stamp set and added the sentiment on a speech bubble from the Speech Bubbles die set. I thought the hills looked a bit barren, so I
scattered some flowers from the Dainty Daisies stamp set.  (I decided the card needed some more stability, so I went back and added vellum to the center.)

Well, that about does it.  I think I set a personal record of using 8 different NND products on my card!  LOL!  I just love how you can mix and match sets to create different scenes!
Hope you will join us with these fun colors for your chance to win a $20 gift card to add to your NND collection!   Link up to Inky Paws Challenge here.

Happy Stamping!
