Week 2 Inspiration

I have two cards today featuring papers from the Newton's Nook DesignsCheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment and the Happy Easter paper pack. I used the NND Card Layout 6 die. By using the layout die, I was able to used all the elements of the die for two cards. I also used a light orange cardstock to create the frame for the first card as well as for the die cut sentiment using the NND Happy Easter die. For the bunnies, I used some scrap Kraft cardstock and cut out two bunnies using the Bunny Silhouettes die set. For the first bunny, I also cut out a bunny tail using felt.  The second bunny's tail is a little pom pom. I love how both cards turned out. The first one is super shiny with mostly glitter paper, but the other one is so cute with the majority of the card with the carrots.

I used the newly released  Card Layout 6 die with papers from the Happy Easter paper pack. I selected the small floral print because I wanted to use the image from the Newton's Blooms stamp set. I used Copic markers to color image making sure that the flowers match the ones in the paper. I wanted to add some bling to the card, so I used the Card Layout 6 die again to cut the blue glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment. I wanted a sentiment that wasn't too specific to spring and found one I like from the Hyacinth stamp set. I used the  Circle Frames die set to cut a stitched circle from white card stock as well as orange glitter paper. I stamped the sentiment and added the little butterfly to add a pop of color.  The new Card Layout 6 die made designing this card quite easy, and I think it will be quickly become a favorite.

While going through my stamps, I realized that I'd never used the dog image from the Pumpkin Tails stamp set. I colored the puppies similar to the dogs on the paper from the Autumn Woofs  stamp set.  Since the puppy image was rather long, I decided to squish the sketch to make a horizontal card.  I opted to go with the polka dotted paper from the  Autumn Basics paper pads. I created a dark brown frame around each panel using my Mini Perfect Layers tool. I adhered everything and then stamped the sentiment. I loved the horizontal format of this sketch and how this card came out.  It was quite fun to make an "out-of-season" card.  Now it's your turn!

It's been sunny here which inspired this fun card using the sunshine paper as well as the yellow polka dotted paper from the  Summertime paper pad. I then added the blue glitter panel using paper form the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment. My star attraction is the darling feline from the Newton's Happy Meowr stamp set.

I wanted to make a masculine Valentine's Day card which might be challenging using shades of pinks and reds, but it's much easier when you can use some big, heavy construction trucks!  This fun vehicles are from the Love Quarry stamp set. I used the A2 Layout 2 for my layout and create little landscapes in the panels using the  Land Borders die set and petite heart paper from the  Lovely Hearts paper pad. I added the punny sentiment on a distressed heart using the Heart Frames die set.

I repurposed the gift packages from the 'Tis the Season Toner Card Front for a birthday card. I used  the A2 Card Layout 2 die for my card layout. For my star attraction, I used the present laden image from the Sky High Celebrations stamp set. For added fun, I added some gift bags from the Birthday Postage Sampler stamp set.

I distressed my background and then added the hearts using the Tumbling Heart stencil. I added the postage-edging using the Framework die set. I then stamped the sentiment using the Love Cafe' stamp set and added to the edging using the afore mentioned die set. I stamped and colored the mugs from theLove Cafe' stamp set. I pulled the little love envelope stamp from the Valentine Postage Sampler stamp set and added a couple images. I added a bit of bling to finish my card.

For my card, I used the Card Layout 5 with papers from the  Lovely Hearts paper pad. Using these Layout dies helps so much to create fun cards!  I then used the scallop-edged heart from the  Heart Frames die set and the pink-striped paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad. I added some red twine behind the heart and added 3D tape For the sentiment, I used the Valentine Word Trio die. For a final touch, I stamped the little envelope and colored it with Copics. I added it to the heart. This is such a fun, easy Valentine's card!

More {BYSHC} Challenge #65 Cards

 I have more cards using the January Build Your Stash Holiday Cards Sketch #65. 

I love using the same sketch and trying to create different styles. 

This card features one of my Christmas presents to myself--Pink & Main's Cozy Critters stamp & die set as well as paper from the Merry & Bright pad. I used Newton's Nook Designs' Framework die.

This card features a very old paper pad--Holly Jolly by My Mind's Eye.  One of the pages had this vintage Santa that I decided to showcase. The little tree was created using a free mini die by Newton's Nook Designs.

I love the Pissy Kitty images by Unity. This feline is from the Frosty & Feisty stamp set. The paper is from a very old paper pad by Craft Smith called Crystal Frost.
