For my card, I was inspired to make a welcome fur baby card!

Debbie's new fur baby card features Meow, Welcome New Cat, Basic Frames, Banner Trio, and A Cat's Life by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #newkittencard, #catcards, #kittencard

I have to start by saying I love this sketch!  I have so much amazing pattern paper, and this sketch is perfect to mix and match it for a delightful card.  I also have lots of stencils that need to be dusted off, and I found them quite useful for this card and for upcoming cards!

I started this card by adding Distress Oxide ink using the Meow stencil. I knew I would be using papers from the  A Cat's Life paper pad, so I knew my color scheme would be dark teal, orange, lime green. Thus, I used orange for my distressing. I then cut out the papers from the afore mentioned paper pad, and I added a teal border around the speech bubble paper and the plaid. I felt this make the papers pop vs. blending into each other. I then added the banner using the Banner Trio die set. I used the dog-earred rectangle die from the Basic Frames die set with the green dotted papers.  This provided a bright backdrop for the kitten and her toys. This sweet fur baby is from the Welcome New Cat stamp set. I cut her out using my Scan 'n' Cut, but a coordinating die set is available.  I then stamped the sentiment in black.  Such a darling way to celebrate the addition of new feline fur baby!

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

For my card, I decided to make a sympathy card for the loss of a fur-baby.

Deb's puppy sympathy card features Petite Pawprints, Furr-ever Friends, and Dog Silhouette by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypawschallenge, #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns; #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #sympathycard, #puppycard, #dogcard
It's never easy to lose a beloved fur baby; however, being able to send a sympathy card is one way to support a loved one who is grieving. My card today features the Furr-ever Friends stamp set that is perfect for sending support. I started by using the Petite Pawprint stencil to create a pawprint background. I then cut out the rectangles of the red heart paper (Lovely Hearts paper pad) and the turquoise striped (Pastel Basics paper pad) and layered then on Kraft paper for a buttery brown frame. I stamped the heart image from Furr-ever Friends in turquoise and the sentiment in red.  I added a Kraft die of a dog using the Dog Silhouette die set.  I try to keep several pet sympathy cards in my complete card stash to ensure I am prepared to support a friend or family member in their time of grief.
Thank you for stopping by!
Hugs,
Debbie

Valentine Heart

I made this sweet, heart-shaped Valentine's card using the current Inky Paws Challenge colors-Buttery Brown, Cherry Red, Turquoise, and White.  For the heart shape, I die cut using NND's Heart Frames dies.  The heat paper is from the NND Pastel Basics paper pad. I then stamped and cut out the darling cats from NND Newton's Sweetheart stamp set. A simple, shaped card that is packed with lots of cuteness!

Holiday Cheer

Today I have a fun holiday card featuring lots of holiday sweets. I used candy paper die cut using Newton's Nook's Designs A2 Card Layout die. I then stamped the sweet ginger people and sweet treats. This set is from a retired Paper Smooches stamp set. I die cut the big peppermint using Newton's Nook Designs retired Peppermint Die. I added some sparkle using my Gelly Roll pen.  Then I added the big sentiment using the Holiday Cheer die set by Newton's Nook Designs. The overall card is a candy-lover's delight!

I was inspired by the candy and sweets in the picture.

For my card, I was inspired to make a spring card with red birds.

A little birdie told me by Debie features Bright Basics, Pastel Basics, Birdhouse Greetings, Birdhouse Line, and Baner Trio by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #cardmakingideas, #birdcard, #birthdaycard
Newton's Nook Designs' Products used:
 Birdhouse Line stencil
Bright Basics paper pad (red gingham)
Pastel Basics paper pads (teal stripe)
Birsdhouse Greetings stamp set for sentiment

I pulled the Birdhouse Line stencil out because I haven't used it in ages. I used Distressed Oxide inks to create each layer. I adhered to a Kraft card base. I then added the two pattern papers to help balance the card. Then I stamped the sentiment on a stitched banner.  I love how this turned out.

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

For my card, I was inspired to make a playful Valentine's Day card.

For this card, I used the following Newton's Nook Designs products:
Deb's love card features Valentine's Postage Sampler, Petite Hearts, Frames & Flags, Frames & Tags, and Heartfelt Love by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnookdesigns, #newtonsnook, #valentinescards, #lovecards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

Newton's Nook Designs' Products used:
Frames & Tags die set
 Frames & Flags die set.
Heartfelt Love stamp set

I started by using red ink and the Petite Hearts stencil to create the heart layer. I then cut this using a frame die from the Frames & Tags die set. I also cut a turquoise card stock using the same die. I also cut the turquoise scallop-edge using a die from the Frames & Flags die set. I adhered the layers to the white card base. I placed two turquoise stitched rectangles in the heart layout frame. I decided to leave the big rectangle white, so the card wouldn't be too busy.  I stamped all the little images from the Valentine Postage Sampler stamp set, cut using my Scan 'n' Cut, and colored them with Copic markers. I spent some time moving the little images around and decided only 5 of them would work.  Once arranged, I adhered with 3D tape. I stamped the two sentiments from the Heartfelt Love stamp set using my Misti.  I scattered some clear drops to finish it up. I love how this turned out!

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

For my card, I was inspired to make a playful Valentine's Day card.

Debbie's Valentine's card features Love Bots, Valentine's Postage, Natural Basics, Pastel Basics, Lovely Hearts, and Heart Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypawschallenge, #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardchallenge, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #valentinescard

For this card, I used the following Newton's Nook Designs products:

Love Bots stamp set
Heart Frames die set
Natural Basics paper pad
Pastel Basics paper pad
Lovely Hearts paper pad

Looking through all my NND stamp sets, I decided to use the Love Bots because I don't use it nearly enough, and I thought the colors would work great with the two images. I die cut all the hearts and used red ink to distress the white edges on the heart and card base.  I stamped all the images and used my Scan 'n Cut to cut them out.  I colored the images using Copic markers. I added dimensional tape and set them aside. I then looked through my paper pads to find paper in the different challenges colors.  I love that the NND's paper pads coordinate so well within and between pads.  Somehow, I pulled three papers from different pads, but I love how they work together.  I arranged the hearts and then popped on the little robots. I stamped the sentiment using my Misty tool and then added a few clear drops.

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!
