Peace on Earth Challenge #114-ATG/Mood Board
Inspired by the light green and red color combo.
(I used a lighter green and just a bit of tan on the coffee.)
I really liked the Try It on Tuesday Sketch, and I wanted to combine it with a couple of challenges (see below) that requires "wings." I've been shopping my stash a lot lately. I pulled out the Rub-a-Dub-Dub set. These little ducks just make me smile. I remembered I had some rubber duck paper in a baby paper pack. I thought the two would look fun together, and guess what? They do! I drew in the paneling, tile floor, and shelf. It was lots of fun to put it all together! Thanks for stopping by!
This card was inspired by The Library Challenge. The big, red bath tub on the cover had me pulling out an older Lawn Fawn's Rub-a-Dub Dub stamp set. I love the idea of a momma duck giving her babies a bubble bath!
I began by ink blending my background in Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I added Newton's Nook Designs Bubbly stencil to make the background look like bubbles floating in the air. A bit of black and white washi tape separates the wall from the floor. I stamped and fussy cut out the ducks, bathtub and soap. I pulled out my colored pencils to color them. I have to say I am liking that red tub! For the bubbles, I added some Glossy Accents.
Thanks for stopping by!

Challenges:
My card features many products from Newton's Nook Designs. Newton's Nook is one of our amazing sponsors! I used the Slimline Frames & Windows and Slimline Frames & Portholes die sets to create all those fun layers. I then colored those ice-cream lovin' felines from the Newton's Summer Treats stamp set. (One of these days I need to invest in the coordinating dies!) I continued the ice cream theme using the bowl of ice cream from the Summer Scoops stamp set. At last, I stamped the sentiment on a banner from the Banner Trio die set! A super fun and festive birthday card just right for our 500th celebration. If you like Newton's Nook Designs products, be sure to head over to the NND blog. They are having their August preview week and see all the new products and another way to win some store credit!
