Thx Dad from the Cats

This card was inspired by my cats' never ending need for food! Imagine that!  Velcro, especially, is food fixated. Every morning, he wakes me up by pawing me in the face or nipping my nose, so he can show me his food dish, which does have food in it.  He just needs to show me!  Later in the morning, he starts meowing at my husband and me. We have to follow him to look at his dish at least 10 more times throughout the day! It's quite comical, except for the nose nips!

For this card,  I used some beloved Paper Smooches products to build this grocery store scene. In the cart, there are lots of cans of cat food. I made it so the cans inside the card move around. The little bit of pattern paper is from Echo Park.

For this card, I went for a simple design. My husband loves to watch videos about cats on the TV while lounging on the couch with both of our cats snuggled in. Thus, the inspiration for the card!

Hey Dad

With Father's Day approaching, I thought it was time to make a card for my husband from the cats. We currently have two cats, Catapult and Velcro.  We lost our beloved Peevey 15 years ago, but I thought he needed to be part of the card. I wanted more masculine paper, so I pulled a very old My Mind's Eye paper pad--Adventure. The colors and patterns make for a great "manly" vibe. I then die cut the striped paper with a die from Newton's Nook Designs-Frame & Flags die set. I cut a small piece using the blue paper. I added a cream trim to separate the carpet and the wall. I then stamped the TV set from a beloved stamp set by Paper Smooches--Boob Tubes. I then did some masking and stamped the little kittens from Lawn Fawn's Happy Couple stamp set. I then stamped the kitty from Lawn Fawn's Keep on Swimming stamp set.  I colored with Copic markers and did some fussy cutting. As I arranged things, I felt that the "room" was missing, so I pulled out Newton's Nook Designs Cozy Home stamp set. I stamped the little table and the vase, colored, and fussy cut.  I arranged everything and adhered to the panel.  I then cut the wood panel strip and added it to the card base before adding the panel.  My final touch was stamping the sentiment from the Boob Tubes stamp set.  I think this is going to make a wonderful Dad's Day card!

Hope Your Day Rocks

This card is for my hubby who has his very own music room where he enjoys his vinyl collection. The stamp set is by Paper Smooches-BeBoppin.  I arranged the stamps on my Mini Misti.  I stamped on one corner. Then turned my paper and stamped the opposite corner.  I love the mirror image. I then stamped the sentiment.  I added a black border and placed on a green card base for a pop of color.  Super CAS, but I think it's perfect for a masculine birthday!

You Make My Heart Melt

I have a super cute holiday card featuring a little snowman from Paper Smooches Warm Hearts stamp set. I adore this fun snowman with his latte cup. I then used five different papers from Miss Kate Gingerbread Lane paper pad. I used the Heart Frames die set by Newton's Nook Designs.  I love the subtle colors of this paper pad.

Snowman Greetings

I had so much fun making this card using the following challenges. First, I used one of my old favorite stamp sets from Paper Smooches--Swanky Snow Dudes. When this company went out of business, I was so disappointed. I love their stamps and have held onto them for many years. I used some scraps from a very old paper pad from Recollections--Cozy Lodge. At last, I used a long-forgotten embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts.  So in essence, this card is filled with lots of "neglected" stuff.

Holiday Cheer

 

Today I have a fun holiday card featuring lots of holiday sweets. I used candy paper die cut using Newton's Nook's Designs A2 Card Layout die. I then stamped the sweet ginger people and sweet treats. This set is from a retired Paper Smooches stamp set. I die cut the big peppermint using Newton's Nook Designs retired Peppermint Die. I added some sparkle using my Gelly Roll pen.  Then I added the big sentiment using the Holiday Cheer die set by Newton's Nook Designs. The overall card is a candy-lover's delight!
