Cover Your Eyes

I just love this Newton's Nook Designs stamp set--Newton's Bright Birthday. I stamped them on an oval (NND-Oval Frames die set).  I added the three balloons using the NND Cycling Friends stamp set.  I added the pink and blue plaid paper die cut using the Frames & Flags scalloped die.  The paper is from Lawn Fawn--Perfectly Plaid.

Buzz by Anytime

When I saw the below sketch, I knew I had to use the Newton's Nook Designs Beekeeper Newton stamp set!  I paired it with Echo Park's Bee Happy paper pad.  I used NND's Hexagon Frames die. Such a fun sketch!

There's Always Next Year

 

For this card, I used some DCWV glitter paper with a sheet of holiday paper from my stash.  I stamped, Scan 'n' Cut the NND Cat Christmas Tree image, and colored with Copic markers.  I found the fun sentiment from the NND retired A Kitten Christmas stamp set. Though not a complicated card, it's packed with color and fun!  Here are the challenges that inspired this card:

Good Feline

I wanted to slip in one last card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge.  I began my card by using Newton's Nook Designs Meow stencil and die cutting using the postage-edged frame die from Framework die set. I then used some pattern paper from DCWV Playful Pets pad.  I then stamped the darling kitties from NND Smitten Kittens stamp set.  I colored them with Prismacolor pencils.  I added some pink Scrapper's Floss behind them for a bit of texture.  I adhered everything then stamped the little heart by the sentiment and added Glossy Accents to the heart and the eyes.

Sound the Alarm!

I am back using the Sketch Saturday sketch.  When I first saw this sketch, I was quite stumped, so I'm challenging myself to use it several times.  This card has a more masculine feel with a whole lot of hearts!  I guess I'm not quite ready to put away my Valentine's products.  The firetruck is from Newton's Nook Designs Love Emergency stamp set. I've had this set several weeks, and I'm just now inking it up.  The little sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Coffee & Wine

Sketch Saturday is being sponsored by a fabulous company, Riley and Company, so I thought I would pull out one of my favorite sentiments by Riley and Company--Coffee to Change the Things I Can.    What could be better than a coffee sentiment?  One paired with wine!  LOL  

I used watercolors in browns and burgundies. I heat embossed the sentiment in black.  The coffee mug and wine glass are from Newton's Nook Designs, Coffee & Wine stamp set.  These were heat embossed in gold. I die cut using a Lil' inker Designs die set. I added a bit of gold entwined jute for the bow.

Make Puddles

With school just around the corner, I wanted to take time to play with some challenges before I'm drowning in school work. (Pun intended.)  Today's card features this darling image from Newton's Nook Designs.  With my recent move to Northeastern Washington, I think this is a perfect sentiment for the upcoming rainy season!  I paper pieced using papers from Authentique-Seasons Essentials. I just love those dark blues with the green...gorgeous!

Here's another card I whipped up this afternoon. I wiped on Hero Arts and Distress Inks to create the background. I die cut the coffee cups and coffee sentiment from white card stock. I then die cut the heart and added some shimmer. I attached all this to some pink card stock and adhered to an embossed card base.  Thanks for stopping by!

St. Patrick's Day with Newton

Today I worked on several St Patrick's Day cards. Despite have tons of stamps, I learned today that I own exactly one St Patrick's Day set that includes a beer mug and a sentiment! As these cards are going to my grandkids, I opted to only use the sentiment and repurpose my other sets. This card features Newton from Newton's Nooks Designs. Newton is usually surrounded by pumpkins, so I punched several glittery shamrocks and covered the pumpkins to achieve a sweet St. Patrick's day card with a little sack awaiting a gift card!
