Inky Paws Challenge #109 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration
for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.

Theme Challenge

Create a Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas project!

Here's my inspiration!

Deck the halls from Debbie features Caroling Newton, Framework, Frames & Flags, Ornamental Wishes, and Speech Bubbles by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

I went with another Christmas card. This one sports nontraditional colors. I begin with a black card base and add an olive-green gingham paper which was die cut using the Framework die set. I then use the  Music stencil and pink deco foil to create a textured layer which I die cut using the Frames Stamp Flags die set. I love you can mix and match dies using these two die sets--Framework and Frames & Flags. I heat embossed the sentiment from Ornamental Wishes stamp on vellum. Then made it into a speech bubble using the Speech Bubbles die set. The stars of my card are the sweet caroling kitties from the Caroling Newton stamp set.  I colored them in pinks, olive greens, and teals.  The colors seem to work well together for a Christmas card!

Hope you will make a Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas card for our Inky Paws Challenge.

Here's my Thanksgiving card for CIC!
For my card, I started with a kraft card base.  I dry embossed a houndstooth design on the burnt orange card stock.  I wrapped a brown ribbon around the burlap paper and tied a bow.  I colored the kitty image in the pile of leaves from the Newton's Nook Designs' Autumn Newton stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in dark brown and tore of the two end edges. I added dimensional tape to the little pumpkin.  A fun autumn card filled with lots of texture!

  1. Both cards are adorable! I love the caroling kitties in the different colored winter outfits! And the burlap is such a fitting texture for a Fall card! Thanks for featuring our images!
