This week I attempted to create a card for three different challenges. First was this great sketch on Skipping Stone Designs blog. Then I entered the Paper Crafts Connection--March Gallery Challenge--a baby card. And finally, I attempted the Paper Crafts Color Inspiration Challenge.
The colors intimidated me at the beginning. Purple and pink--really? As I worked with the colors, I found myself becoming comfortable. For the baby challenge, I wanted to steer away from the traditional baby motif. I decided to incorporate a cameo to represent the beauty of a new baby girl. As luck would have it, my co-worker's daughter just had a baby girl this morning, so yippee for me--a card in the nick of time!
Supplies:
Cardstock--Sorry, I lost track of where these came from.
Stamp--Posh Clear Stamps by teresa collins; sentiment--My Sentiments Exactly
Ink--black--Memories
Ribbons--Joann's and Michael's
Jewels--doodlebug design
Embossing--Sizzix
