Let It Snow--Simon Says Christmas & CPS #127

Simon Says...Christmas in August Challenge.  Looking through my Christmas stamps made me a bit depressed.  When I spied Christmas trees and Santa Clauses, all I could imagine was all that shopping and wrapping and trimming, etc.   I guess I'm not quite in the mood for all of that...yet.  But then I spied my cute snowman.  This got me excited.  It's been quite a hot summer and that snowman just looked cool.  I pulled out my DCWV Winter Wonderland Stack.  It's full of blues, whites, silvers.  Just what I needed.  I combined this card with Card Pattern Weekly Sketch #127.  I was going to enter it in the CAS-ual Fridays Glitzy Glue Dots Challenge 14, but my card didn't really turn out CAS, so I couldn't enter that challenge.  I did learn how to make fun glitter embellishments using my glue dots.  Super Fun!!!  I  did lots of embossing and some distressing on this card.  I'm glad my husband doesn't come into my craft room often because if he saw me with both embossing powders and glitter out, he might faint.  I guess you would call me rather messy.  If I just look at glitter it somehow ends up on me.  Needless to say, my work area is quite festive after this card!  :)  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your week.
