My admin has been encouraging us to take care of ourselves during this difficult time.  One suggestion was to try a new hobby.  Well, I'd been thinking about this for awhile but looking at my craft room, I knew I had no room to start a new hobby.  Then looking over my budget, I decided I should start anything new.  Therefore, I decided to use my supplies on hand and repurposed them.  Walking around my neighborhood, I've noticed many times painted rocks.  I know this has been a fad for awhile, but I've never stopped enjoying seeing these little pieces of art that bring smiles to those who happen upon them.  Not being much of an artist, I decided to use my stamps instead of drawing on them.  This particular rock is sporting Newton's Nook Designs--Newton Scoots By.   After some trial and error, I found Stazon ink works the best.  Before applying Mod Podge, I go back over the lines with a ultra fine tip permanent marker.  I am still experimenting with stamping on rocks, but it has been fun to use products I already love on a new medium.  Now I get the joy of leaving a bit of "love" at my neighbors' houses!
