Inspired By...#IP310

I have a sweet card using the sketch from Inspired By Challenge. I used some darling paper I recently picked up at Michael's. It's the Sprinkle, Shop paper pad by Recollections-Christmas.  I loved the pastel colors as well all the sweet treats.  I paired it with Newton's Nook Designs retired Newton's Candy Cane stamp set.  This is one of my, yes many, favorite holiday sets by Newton's Nook.  I created tags using My Favorite Things Tags Stax.  I colored with Copics.  I embossed the card base using a polka dotted embossing folder.  That's it.  Not a fancy card, but I think the simplicity is just purr-fect!

Inky Paws Challenge #234--Week 3

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 3 Inspiration

Use your NND products with this sketch.

Inky Paws has moved to a new, monthly format to give you more time to get Inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products.

You have until Friday, November 29, 2024 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

For my card, I was inspired to create a birthday card using this great sketch.

Deb's doggy birthday card features Birthday Barks, Birthday Woofs, and Basic Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #sketchchallenge, #doggycards, #birthdaycards

For my card, I decided to turn the sketch and make it vertical so I could use the trio of puppies from the
Birthday Barks stamp set. I cut using my Scan-n-Cut, but a coordinating die set is available. I then pulled the paper with this image from the Birthday Woofs paper pad. I cut the paper so I had two vertical strips. Then I measured and cut out the yellow-striped paper.  I could have just layered the papers, but I like to preserve pattern paper whenever I can. I purposely colored the stamped image in similar colors of the paper using Copic markers.  I then cut a vellum banner using the Basic Frames die set.  I like using vellum to allow the paper to show through. Using the same die set, I cut the little stitched panel and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!  I eagerly await how you are inspired to use the November sketch!
Hugs,
Debbie

For my card, I was inspired to create another Christmas card using this great sketch.
by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypawschallenge, #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #holidaycards, #christmascards, #catcards
As I looked through all my NND products, I spied this stocking paper from the Christmas Time paper pad. I also glanced over and saw the little stocking on the newly released Holiday Postage Sampler stamp set. I wanted to use the sketch with these two products.  I decided to make a vellum middle panel using the Framework die set because I really wanted to highlight the stockings.  I stamped the sentiment on the ticket stub using the Frames & Flags die set. The hardest part was finding just the right image to balance the card.  I had a bunch of Christmas images already cut, so I started trying different images.  I decided on Santa Newton checking his list because it was longer and filled the card.  This image is from the Santa Paws Newton stamp set. I added a little present just for fun!
Thanks for stopping by!  I eagerly await how you are inspired to use the November sketch!

Trying to slip in a couple more cards to this super fun and event that I look forward to each year.

2024 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop-#5

One of the best times of the year has arrived.  No, not Christmas; rather, the Coffee Lovers blog hop.  I adore making coffee-themed cards and seeing everyone else's cards.

This coffee-themed card uses the Newton's Nook Designs' Caffeinated Cats stamp set. I used red, white, and green to transfer the card into a holiday card.  I just couldn't bring myself to cover any of the kitties with a sentiment, so I placed it inside the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Debbie

2024 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop-#2

One of the best times of the year has arrived.  No, not Christmas; rather, the Coffee Lovers blog hop.  I adore making coffee-themed cards and seeing everyone else's cards.

For my second entry, I used the newly released Christmas Coffee by Newton's Nook Designs again.  I used one of the coffee mugs and repeatedly stamped a mug.  I then created an oval-shaped card using the Newton's Nook Designs Oval Frames die set with a little tag from the Frames & Tags die set.

Inky Paws Challenge #233-Week 4

Use Burnt OrangeOlive GreenSlate Gray, and Cream with your NND products.

Inky Paws has moved to a new, monthly format to give you more time to get Inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products.

You have until Friday, November 1, 2024 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

This week, I was inspired to make a bookmark instead of a card.  I used an autumn theme because Newton's Nook Designs has such cute bookmark stamps!

I began by cutting the bookmark using the Bookmark die set.  I lightly distressed the edges with Distress Oxide ink.  I then stamped the stack of books, sentiment, and leaves using the Autumn Reads stamp set. I colored everything with Copic markers using the IPC challenge colors.  I added an orange gingham ribbon as my final touch.  I haven't yet, but I think I will laminate the bookmark to give it longevity.

Now it's your turn to use these colors in your NND masterpiece!
