Inky Paws Challenge

Week 2 Inspiration

You have from until Friday, January 31, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

For my card, I was inspired to make a playful Valentine's Day card.

For this card, I used the following Newton's Nook Designs products:
Deb's love card features Valentine's Postage Sampler, Petite Hearts, Frames & Flags, Frames & Tags, and Heartfelt Love by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnookdesigns, #newtonsnook, #valentinescards, #lovecards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

Newton's Nook Designs' Products used:
Frames & Tags die set
 Frames & Flags die set.
Heartfelt Love stamp set

I started by using red ink and the Petite Hearts stencil to create the heart layer. I then cut this using a frame die from the Frames & Tags die set. I also cut a turquoise card stock using the same die. I also cut the turquoise scallop-edge using a die from the Frames & Flags die set. I adhered the layers to the white card base. I placed two turquoise stitched rectangles in the heart layout frame. I decided to leave the big rectangle white, so the card wouldn't be too busy.  I stamped all the little images from the Valentine Postage Sampler stamp set, cut using my Scan 'n' Cut, and colored them with Copic markers. I spent some time moving the little images around and decided only 5 of them would work.  Once arranged, I adhered with 3D tape. I stamped the two sentiments from the Heartfelt Love stamp set using my Misti.  I scattered some clear drops to finish it up. I love how this turned out!

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

Hugs, Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge-Week 1

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 1 Inspiration

You have from Monday, January 26, 2025 to Friday, January 31, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along.

Debbie's Valentine's card features Love Bots, Valentine's Postage, Natural Basics, Pastel Basics, Lovely Hearts, and Heart Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypawschallenge, #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardchallenge, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #valentinescard

For this card, I used the following Newton's Nook Designs products:

Love Bots stamp set
Heart Frames die set
Natural Basics paper pad
Pastel Basics paper pad
Lovely Hearts paper pad

Looking through all my NND stamp sets, I decided to use the Love Bots because I don't use it nearly enough, and I thought the colors would work great with the two images. I die cut all the hearts and used red ink to distress the white edges on the heart and card base.  I stamped all the images and used my Scan 'n Cut to cut them out.  I colored the images using Copic markers. I added dimensional tape and set them aside. I then looked through my paper pads to find paper in the different challenges colors.  I love that the NND's paper pads coordinate so well within and between pads.  Somehow, I pulled three papers from different pads, but I love how they work together.  I arranged the hearts and then popped on the little robots. I stamped the sentiment using my Misty tool and then added a few clear drops.

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

Newton's Nook Designs

For my final IPC card for 2024, I decided to squeeze in another Christmas card.  I wanted to use the  Bells & Holly stamp set since I hadn't used it much this season and the images are traditional and elegant. I wanted my card to be a bit rustic with the elegant bells, so I lightly distressed the edges of each element as well as using Kraft card stock.  I added the paper with the pine cones, holly, and pine boughs from the Christmas Time paper pad.  I added the string of bells on more Kraft and die cut the sentiment oval (Oval Frames die set) from Kraft as well.  I added some foliage and a pine cone using the Pines & Holly die set.

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

I'm showcasing some of the newly released coffee products! I used papers from the Coffee Shop paper pad to create a fun card design. I then added the tower of mugs from the Coffee Coffee Delights stamp set and colored them similarly to the paper.  So cute!

Farm Quest General Store Designer

I'm the guest designer this month at the FarmQuest General Store.

I love this fun challenge because it is always about farming and/or country.  Since I grew up in Indiana and helped on my grandfather's farm, I enjoy making farm-themed cards that embraces my childhood memories. I have several memories of cows and pigs--many involving bottle feeding!

My card features products by Newton's Nook Designs:

Frames & Tags die set
Basic Frames die set
Banner Trio die set
Plaid stencil set
Dairy Christmas (retired) stamp set

Inky Paws Challenge #235--Week 1

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 1 Inspiration

For December, there will only be 3 weeks to link up your amazing NND creations!
So what will you be creating the last few weeks of the year?  Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hannukah, birthday, thank you,..?  I can't wait to see!

You have from Monday, December 2, 2024 to Friday, December 20, 2024 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

For my card, I was inspired to make a thank you card with a wintry feel.

Debbie's thank you card features Frames & Flags, Oval Frames, Snowfall, Snow Angel, Snowflake Oval, and Snowman Roundabout by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #wintercards, #thankyoucards, #catcards,
I began by creating the snowflake background using the Snowfall stencil. I then used the  Frames & Flags die set to create the scalloped edging. I adhered on a dark navy card base.  I then stamped the oval image from the Snowflake Oval stamp set which I colored in shades of blue using Copic markers and die cut using a die from the Oval Frames die set. My star attraction is the playful feline from the Snow Angel Newton stamp set and fussy cut. My final touch was embossing the sentiment from the  Snowman Roundabout stamp on vellum. I added some gems for a bit of sparkle.

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!
