Inky Paws Challenge #233 Week 2

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 2 Inspiration

Use Burnt OrangeOlive GreenSlate Gray, and Cream with your NND products.

Inky Paws has moved to a new, monthly format to give you more time to get Inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products.

You have from Monday, October 7, 2024 to Friday, November 1, 2024 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

For my card, I was inspired to create a card celebrating fall and all the farmers who work tiredlessly to plant, sow, and harvest our food supply.

Deb's harvest card features Newton's Crate, Fall Harvest, Autumn Harvest, Farmer Newton, and Serene Stripes by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #colorchallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #farmercard, #autumncard, #fallcard, #catcard,
My card today features a fall/harvest theme. My grandfather and father were farmers, and I understand the commitment and dedication it takes to farm. I started by using the  Serene Stripes stencil for the background. This provided a bit of texture to help ground the images. I then went through my NND autumn stamp sets. I love NND products because of the ease of mixing and matching stamp images. I selected the little feline farmer from the Farmer Newton stamp and added the corn stack image from the Autumn Harvest stamp set. The card didn't balance well, so I added the extra kitty and pumpkins from the Fall Harvest stamp set.  All of these sets have coordinating die sets.  I, however, either fussy cut or used my Scan 'n' Cut to cut them out.  I used Copic markers to color the images in the challenge colors. I add dimension tape to several to add depth. I finally selected a sentiment from the Newton's Crate stamp set. I love how this turned out, and I wish I could send to either my grandfather of father who dedicated their lives to reaping the rewards of farming. Miss you both!

6 Spooky Trick or Treaters

I am just loving these new "little" Halloween critters. They are from the new release by Newton's Nook Designs--Trick or Treat Puppy and Trick or Treat Newton. I used NND Halloween Party paper pad as well as dies from the Framework die set. I pulled the sentiment from the NND Spooky Roundabout stamp set.  The hardest part making the card was choosing which critters to use! The fun 6-frame border die is from Your Next Die--Fun With Squares.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Debbie

Challenges I'm entering this card includes:

(Loved all the trick or treaters on the mood board.)

Trick-or-Treaters Kitten

This fun Halloween card features Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Party paper pad. I paired it with this sweet kitten from NND Trick or Treat Kittens (retired). I used the Oval Frames die set for the vellum circle by NND.

Just love pink with Halloween!

Inky Paws Challenge #233

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 1 Inspiration

For my card, I was inspired to create a Halloween card.

Deb's Halloween card features Trick-or-Treat Newton, Trick-or-Treat Puppy, Frames & Tags, Spooky Street, Haunted House, Land Border, and Spooky Stories by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #halloweencards, #halloween, #catcards, #puppycards, #dogcards

I created my background using Distress Oxide inks using the Clouds stencil and the
Land Border die set (I made an acetate template using my border die).  I cut this layer using the zig-zag die from the  Frames & Tags die set.  I then stamped the tree from the  Spooky Street stamp set and the bats and sentiment from the Spooky Stories stamp set. I die cut the house using the Haunted House die and added yellow paper behind to make the house look like it was lit up. At last, I stamped, colored, and cut out (Scan 'n' Cut, but coordinating dies are also available) the little trick-or-treaters from the Trick-or-Treat Newton and the Trick-or-Treat Puppy stamp sets.  I popped these little guys with foam tape for added diminsion.  I love how this turned out.

Now it's your turn to use the IPC colors to create a card or paper project.  You have 4 weeks to create up to 4 projects.  Remember, these amazing colors can be used for many themes including Halloween!

Inky Paws Challenge #232 Reminder

There's still time to use this fun, funky sketch with your NND products!

Inky Paws Challenge, Newton's Nook Designs

One lucky participant will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs! You have until Friday, September 27, 2024 at Midnight CST to link up your project using the challenge sketch!

Deb's falling leaves cards features Circle Frames, Autumn, Fall Harvest, and Autumn Newton by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #catcards, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #autumncards, #fallcards, #puppycards

I created a circle-shaped card using the Circle Frames die set. I then pulled the orange leave paper from the Autumn paper pad for my background. I stamped images from the Fall Harvest and the Autumn Newton stamp sets using Copic markers.  I adhered with 3D tape.  I added the sentiment for the last touch.  I love the rich colors of autumn, and I think I captured a bit of that color in my card.

Now it's your turn to create a cozy fall card using your NND products. I can't wait to see what you make!

Anyway You Slice It

I just love this Cupcake Inspiration challenge.  One of my favorite foods is pizza! This fun image is from Newton's Nook Designs' Newton Loves Pizza stamp set. I used the NND Fractured Card Layout die to create the base with papers from DCWV-Good Eats. Such a fun card!

There's Always Next Year

For this card, I used some DCWV glitter paper with a sheet of holiday paper from my stash.  I stamped, Scan 'n' Cut the NND Cat Christmas Tree image, and colored with Copic markers.  I found the fun sentiment from the NND retired A Kitten Christmas stamp set. Though not a complicated card, it's packed with color and fun!  Here are the challenges that inspired this card:

Those metallic colors inspired my lime green and fuschia glitter paper.

Thanks for stopping by my little slice of crafty heaven!
Hugs,
Debbie

Season of Joy-Stockings

I was honored to be a top pick at My Time to Craft Christmas Challenge!

For this card, I combined three challenges-sketch, colors, and theme. See below.
I used papers from Newton's Nook Designs, Christmas Time paper pad, with NND's Frames & Flags die set. I selected the kitty and the puppy images from the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive with Newton's Nook Designs-2023 Stamptember stamp set and cut using my Scan 'n' Cut.  I colored them with Copic markers. I heat embossed the sentiment which is from the Christmas Roundabout stamp set. I love how the strip of paper with all the stockings coordinates with the larger stockings!  Below are the challenges that inspired this card:

Coffee & Candy Card

I used some of the above colors (pink, red, green, blue) in my card.

I'm using up scraps from the Pink & Main Jolly paper pad. For this card, I used the NND Frames & Flags die set to cut the outer scalloped frame from light blue glitter paper as well as the inner rounded-corner frame.  I then used up those scraps by adhering strips of papers. Once adhered, I cut off the edges and placed on the glitter paper.  I cut a couple of vellum squares using My Favorite Things-Die-namics Stitched Square STAX dies. I added the kitty images that had been stamped, colored with Copic markers, and cut using my Scan 'n' Cut.  I added Glossy Accents to the little coffee mug with the sentiment from the NND Holiday Elements stamp set. The top image is from a retired NND stamp called Newton's Candy Cane. The other image is from NND-Newton's Mug stamp set. I added a few gems to make it more sparkly!

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #33

For this card, I pulled out the little cups of hot chocolate or coffee depending on your preference!
This stamp set is Newton's Nook Designs Cup of Cocoa which I paired with Pink & Main's Jolly paper pad. I used NND's A2 Card Layout die. I love this die as it is a fabulous way to use up paper scraps yet make such a darling card. The fun sentiment is from NND's Holiday Haul stamp set. I thought it was perfect with the yummy drinks which definitely are part of my holiday season!

Thanks for stopping by!

Debbie
