Newton's Nook Designs

For my final IPC card for 2024, I decided to squeeze in another Christmas card.  I wanted to use the  Bells & Holly stamp set since I hadn't used it much this season and the images are traditional and elegant. I wanted my card to be a bit rustic with the elegant bells, so I lightly distressed the edges of each element as well as using Kraft card stock.  I added the paper with the pine cones, holly, and pine boughs from the Christmas Time paper pad.  I added the string of bells on more Kraft and die cut the sentiment oval (Oval Frames die set) from Kraft as well.  I added some foliage and a pine cone using the Pines & Holly die set.

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

I'm showcasing some of the newly released coffee products! I used papers from the Coffee Shop paper pad to create a fun card design. I then added the tower of mugs from the Coffee Coffee Delights stamp set and colored them similarly to the paper.  So cute!

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

Farm Quest General Store Designer

I'm the guest designer this month at the FarmQuest General Store.

I love this fun challenge because it is always about farming and/or country.  Since I grew up in Indiana and helped on my grandfather's farm, I enjoy making farm-themed cards that embraces my childhood memories. I have several memories of cows and pigs--many involving bottle feeding!

My card features products by Newton's Nook Designs:

Frames & Tags die set
Basic Frames die set
Banner Trio die set
Plaid stencil set
Dairy Christmas (retired) stamp set

Inky Paws Challenge #235--Week 1

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 1 Inspiration

For December, there will only be 3 weeks to link up your amazing NND creations!
So what will you be creating the last few weeks of the year?  Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hannukah, birthday, thank you,..?  I can't wait to see!

You have from Monday, December 2, 2024 to Friday, December 20, 2024 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

For my card, I was inspired to make a thank you card with a wintry feel.

Debbie's thank you card features Frames & Flags, Oval Frames, Snowfall, Snow Angel, Snowflake Oval, and Snowman Roundabout by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #wintercards, #thankyoucards, #catcards,
I began by creating the snowflake background using the Snowfall stencil. I then used the  Frames & Flags die set to create the scalloped edging. I adhered on a dark navy card base.  I then stamped the oval image from the Snowflake Oval stamp set which I colored in shades of blue using Copic markers and die cut using a die from the Oval Frames die set. My star attraction is the playful feline from the Snow Angel Newton stamp set and fussy cut. My final touch was embossing the sentiment from the  Snowman Roundabout stamp on vellum. I added some gems for a bit of sparkle.

Now what will you create?  I can't wait to see!

For my card, I was inspired to create a coffee-themed Christmas card.

Debbie's holiday card features Love & Meows, Christmas Basics, Postage Stamp Layout, Holiday Postage Sampler, Holiday Essentials, Frames & Flags, and Christmas Coffees by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnookdesigns, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #coffeeloveres, #coffeecards, #holidaycards, #Christmascards
For my card, I wanted to make another Christmas card. I was drawn to the teal polka dotted papers in the Love & Meows paper pad. I adhered the panel. Then I used the Frames & Flags  die set to create the center panel using the heart paper from the Christmas Basics paper pads. I then inverted the stripe panel and center panel. I used the striped paper from the Love & Meows paper pad for the long stripe. I cut out the white postage element using Postage Stamp Layout. I cut this in half horizontally and adhered to the striped panel.  I stamped the mugs from the Christmas Coffees stamp set and cut using my Scan 'n Cut. (There are coordinating dies if you prefer.) I colored with Copic markers. To make it into a stamp, I stamped the price using the Holiday Postage Sampler stamp set. I added a few enameled dots for some diminsion.  The sentiment is from the Holiday Essentials stamp set. I heat embossed the white on black to add a bit of "drama".

{BYSHC} November Sketch Challenge #51

I'm squeezing in a couple more card susing this fabulous sketch.
This card features Newton's Nook Designs products:
Meowy Christmas paper pad
Christmas Basics paper pad
Christmas Roundabout stamp set (sentiment)
Dog Christmas Tree stamp set

My last card using this super inspiring sketch. I used Newton's Nook Designs papers with a stamp set from Unity.

This card features stamps by Paper Smooches with papers by Recollections. The frame die is by Newton's Nook Designs.

For this card, I used the same papers from above with another image from Paper Smooches.  I decided not to add the tag. Rather I let the gingerbread house becoming the panel from the sketch.

This card features stamps by Paper Smooches as well as Newton's Nook Designs with papers from the Recollection holiday paper pad die cut using dies from Newton's Nook Designs.

This card features stamps by Paper Smooches with papers from the Recollection holiday paper pad die cut using dies from Newton's Nook Designs.

This fun holiday card features the Newton's Nook Designs-Frames & Tags die set with the cute Santa from the NND Dear Santa stamp set.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips in Reverse Christmas. The fun papers is from Park Lane-Christmas Holly Jolly.

Here's a different version using the same paper pad--Christmas Holly Jolly. I used Newton's Nook Designs Frames & Flags and Framework die sets. The vintage truck is from Destination Christmas and the sentiment is from Holiday Elements

I used the same papers from the card above. I mixed it up using the oval and cutting out the sentiment from the paper pad. I used the Frames & Flags and Oval Frames die sets from Newton's Nook Designs. I used another Santa image from NND's Dear Santa stamp set.

For this card, I used a retired stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs--Festive Fawns.  I placed the little fawn on a snowflake atop more fun papers from the Park Lane-Christmas Holly Jolly.

For this card, I used the paper pieces from the card above (Park Lane-Christmas Holly Jolly) with the scallop-edged die from the NND-Frames & Flags die set.  I made a gift card holder using the Kat Scrappiness Gift Card Pocket Craft die. I am loving this die since I can incorporate the gift card into the card design.  I added the darling reindeer latte from the NND Christmas Coffees stamp set.  The sentiment is from a beloved Paper Smooches stamp set--Christmas Sampler.

Inspired By...#IP310

I have a sweet card using the sketch from Inspired By Challenge. I used some darling paper I recently picked up at Michael's. It's the Sprinkle, Shop paper pad by Recollections-Christmas.  I loved the pastel colors as well all the sweet treats.  I paired it with Newton's Nook Designs retired Newton's Candy Cane stamp set.  This is one of my, yes many, favorite holiday sets by Newton's Nook.  I created tags using My Favorite Things Tags Stax.  I colored with Copics.  I embossed the card base using a polka dotted embossing folder.  That's it.  Not a fancy card, but I think the simplicity is just purr-fect!

Inky Paws Challenge #234--Week 3

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 3 Inspiration

Use your NND products with this sketch.

Inky Paws has moved to a new, monthly format to give you more time to get Inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products.

For my card, I was inspired to create a birthday card using this great sketch.

Deb's doggy birthday card features Birthday Barks, Birthday Woofs, and Basic Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #sketchchallenge, #doggycards, #birthdaycards

For my card, I decided to turn the sketch and make it vertical so I could use the trio of puppies from the
Birthday Barks stamp set. I cut using my Scan-n-Cut, but a coordinating die set is available. I then pulled the paper with this image from the Birthday Woofs paper pad. I cut the paper so I had two vertical strips. Then I measured and cut out the yellow-striped paper.  I could have just layered the papers, but I like to preserve pattern paper whenever I can. I purposely colored the stamped image in similar colors of the paper using Copic markers.  I then cut a vellum banner using the Basic Frames die set.  I like using vellum to allow the paper to show through. Using the same die set, I cut the little stitched panel and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!  I eagerly await how you are inspired to use the November sketch!
Hugs,
Debbie

For my card, I was inspired to create another Christmas card using this great sketch.
by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypawschallenge, #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #holidaycards, #christmascards, #catcards
As I looked through all my NND products, I spied this stocking paper from the Christmas Time paper pad. I also glanced over and saw the little stocking on the newly released Holiday Postage Sampler stamp set. I wanted to use the sketch with these two products.  I decided to make a vellum middle panel using the Framework die set because I really wanted to highlight the stockings.  I stamped the sentiment on the ticket stub using the Frames & Flags die set. The hardest part was finding just the right image to balance the card.  I had a bunch of Christmas images already cut, so I started trying different images.  I decided on Santa Newton checking his list because it was longer and filled the card.  This image is from the Santa Paws Newton stamp set. I added a little present just for fun!
Thanks for stopping by!  I eagerly await how you are inspired to use the November sketch!
Hugs,
Debbie
