Inky Paws Challenge

Week 1 Inspiration

I wanted to capture the magic of a sunset (sunrise) on a beach. I created the stitched circle using the Circle Frames die set. I then distressed the ocean in blue and teals. For the sky, I distressed in pink and orange.  I then stamped and colored the kitty from the Newton's Sand Dollar stamp set with Copic markers. I cut using my Brother's Scan 'n' Cut; however there is a coordinating die set if you prefer.  I popped him up using dimensional tape.  I added the circle and cat to the card base. I decided to cut off part of the circle and have a straight edge on the bottom.  I then stamped the sentiment on a stitched banner using  Seashell Roundabout stamp set and the  Banner Trio die set.  It looked bland on the card, so I cut a black banner using the Frames & Flags die set. This helped the sentiment look more dramatic and stand out.  However, the card still needed something, so I finally decided to add the waves using the Waves stencil. This added a bit more color and dimension to my card.
