Thanks-SSD#84 and Nautical Color Trends Challenge
So I started out to participate in the Color Trends--Nautical Challenge. Guess what? Going through all my stamps, I discovered I don't own any nautical stamps! How can that be? I forced myself not to zip to a nearby craft store. Instead, I made myself utilize what I had in my stash. Inspired by the Skipping Stones Design Sketch, which just screamed life preserver. I pulled out my clip art books, printed off a couple of anchors. I used silver Smooch to paint them. Then I used Glossy Accents to give it some depth and shine. Using Echo Park Paper--A walk in the Park collection, I created the life preserver and waves (with the help of my Fiskar paper punch). I added some twine and a sentiment--my nautical card--without spending a cent!
