The scene in my card was inspired by friends near me who live in remote areas in the PNW where Internet and even cell service is limited or nonexistent. For them, getting some "snail" mail is a welcomed way to stay connected to the world.
To create my card I used Distress Inks and Spectrum Noir markers. I used the Mountains stencil to create the gray mountains in the far background with greener, more rounded mountains in front. Since I live in the Evergreen State, I added trees in the background using the Whispering Pines stamp set. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the cabin from the Winston's Lake House stamp set before adding more fir trees from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set. In the foreground, Newton from the Newton's Happy Mail stamp set is happily popping his head out of the mailbox with cards he just received from the owl (Love Owls stamp set) flying out of the clouds from the Sky Scene Builder die set. Who wouldn't want to receive this card? But wait, do you need more inspiration? Be sure to hop over to Diane Morales blog (and the rest of the NND & IPC teams) to be wowed!
