Week 1 Inspiration

I wasn't sure quite how to interpret this challenge.  Flowers? Showers? or Both?  I decided to go with both showers and flowers!  I started with a black card base.  I then pulled white card stock and used the Petite Flowers stencil and distressed in the colors of the rainbow.  I then used the Fractured Card Layout die to cut my distressed panel.  I also used this die with black card stock.  I thought the black looked very dynamic with the rainbow colors.  I then stamped and colored the kitty from the  Newton's Umbrella stamp set and the puppy from the Rainy Day Doxie stamp set.  I decided to color the kitty's umbrella in warm colors and the puppy's in cool colors.  I felt this continued the rainbow effect from the floral panel.  I added some 3D foam tape to make the critters pop. I added some small clear dots on the umbrella to make it look like raindrops.  I finished by stamping the sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set. I thought this card turned out wonderfully!
