4 Papers + 1 Die = 4 Cute Holiday Cards

I have 4 holiday cards to share on this post using only 4 pieces of designer papers

with only 1 layout die. With so many Christmas in July challenges, I'm entering cards in several different ones as noted below each card.

Neglected Stuff Challenge-July

I've had the Holiday Home stamp set since 2021, but haven't used it in ages.

I used 3 designer papers from Miss Kate's Gingerbread Lane paper pad with the Kraft paper with trees from the DCWV The Winter in the Woods stack. I cut each paper using the Newton's Nook Designs newly released Card Layout 4 die. Then I set the 4 frames in front of me and began mixing the different "puzzle" pieces in the frame. I have a bag of precut NND holiday images, so I started selecting images as I rearranged the different patterns in each frame. Once I decided on what each panel will look like, I began adhering the panels together. I adhered each panel to a cream card stock base. I then colored the images using similar colors from the paper. It was important to me that each card have a unique look. So I pulled different dies for the sentiments and arranged them differently on each card. I used some 3D tape to add dimension. And like that....I have 4 darling cards!

Inky Paws Challenge #240 Week 1

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 1 Inspiration

You have from Monday, May 5, 2025 to Friday, May 30, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!

Debbie's Christmas card features Canine Christmas, Christmas Puppies, Oval Frames, and Frames & Tags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #christmascards, #dogcards, #puppycards

I started by selecting this darling puppy paper from the Canine Christmas paper pad. I die cut it using the zig-zag frame die from the Frames & Tags die set, which I also used to die cut the green-stripe paper. I then cut a vellum rectangle which I had embossed the sentiment. I didn't want to cover all the puppies in the background. To adhere the vellum, I used two-side tape where it could be covered by the oval. Then I added 4 brads at the corners. (I'm not completely happy with how the vellum looks, and I may go back and do some repair work. I just have a hard time adhering vellum without it being seen from the front.) Using the Oval Frames die set, I create the scallop-edged oval out of the red-polka dotted papers. At last, I stamped and colored the puppy in the boot using Copic markers. This cute fellow is from the Christmas Puppies stamp set. I love how it is the same image as on the paper.

Below are all the cards I've made to build my stash!

I used the {BYSHC} May sketch. I thought the little images from sponsor Newton's Nook Designs' Holiday Postage Sampler stamp set. I thought the little images would look cute without the squares. I also used the fancy square die from the Frames Squared die set. The sentiment is from Ornamental Wishes stamp set. That darling little mouse is from the retired stamp set, Caroling Newton.
