CIC327--Lace

Welcome back to this week's new Cupcake Inspirations' Challenge. This week's sponsor is The Ribbon Resource.  As our challenge is all about using lace, The Ribbon Resource generously provided the DT Sweeties some gorgeous lace!  I used the 1.5 inch Ivory Crochet Lace. It really is beautiful!  For your chance to win a $25 gift card from The Ribbon Resource, be sure to link up at Cupcake Inspirations. I look forward to seeing your creations.

I watercolored the background, added the bling and butterfly (source unknown), and I then inked the edges with Momento Ink (London Fog). My last step was to stamp the sentiment (Skipping Stones Designs).

Cupcake Inspirations 212--Red, White, and Blue

This week Cupcake Inspirations went with a patriotic color scheme in honor of Memorial Day, a U.S. holiday to remember all the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.  Without their sacrifices, I wouldn't live in a fabulous country with so many freedoms!

Now to my card, I decided to use the colors to celebrate my cousin's daughter's high school graduation.  I stamped the kitty's background using the Grunge Set from Skipping Stones Design .  The kitty is from The Alley Way's Sittin' Pretty.  The graduation hat and sentiment are from Paper Smooches-Smarty Pants.  I love trying to get the most out of all my stamp sets, and being able to mix and match sets is a fun way to achieve this goal.

Now it's your turn to create a card or project using the colors from this week's inspiration.  Di's Digi Designs is our sponsor.  Diane Carubia is both the owner and illustrator, and her images are absolutely darling.  By linking up, you will have a chance to win some for your collection!  Can't wait to check out your creations!
