Relax & Enjoy

Relax and enjoy features Rub a Dub Dub by Lawn Fawn; #lawnfawn, #indys_designs, #cardmaking

This card was inspired by The Library Challenge. The big, red bath tub on the cover had me pulling out an older Lawn Fawn's Rub-a-Dub Dub stamp set. I love the idea of a momma duck giving her babies a bubble bath!

I began by ink blending my background in Broken China Distress Oxide ink.  I added Newton's Nook Designs Bubbly stencil to make the background look like bubbles floating in the air.  A bit of black and white washi tape separates the wall from the floor.  I stamped and fussy cut out the ducks, bathtub and soap.  I pulled out my colored pencils to color them. I have to say I am liking that red tub!  For the bubbles, I added some Glossy Accents.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here's my inspiration!

Rejoice in Spring by Debbie features The Nutcracker, Cloudy Sky, Easter Lily, Woodland Spring, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I wanted to create a fun spring scene.  When I saw The Library Challenge--Use Ballet Shoes, I knew I had use the little mice ballerinas from the The Nutcracker Squeak stamp set. I hand cut a bunch of flowers from a little flower image from the Woodland Spring stamp set.  I added embossed fluffy clouds using the Cloudy Sky stencil and went back and added distress light blue ink.  I used the Frames & Flags to create the scallop-edged frame as well as the banner.  The sentiment was pulled from the Easter Lily stamp set.  I have to confess, my favorite part of this card are the floral images on the ballerinas' heads.

You Bet Giraffe I Miss You

A while back I won a goodie box and this darling The Cat's Pajamas stamp and die set was part of it!  Jungle Boogie comes with these three delightful critters. I used the Tropical Leaves stencil by Newton's Nook Designs to create the colorful leaves behind the scene.

Hello

I finally had a chance to play with these absolutely darling mer"cats."  They are from Newton's Nook Designs' July release, and they are so fun!  This stamp set is called Purr-maid Newton.  I decide to keep this card very CAS, so I stamped the hello sentiment from a retired NND stamp set. Then after coloring the mercats, I adhered them by putting dimensional foam under the fins and one of the feline's paws. I arranged them so it looks like they are holding the sentiment on either end. For the final touch, I added houndstooth washi tape. I know this is very simple, but I am just loving it!
Hugs,
Debbie

The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen and illustrated by Christian Birmingham. Love this story too! Again, very sad though, definitely does not have a Disney ending

Theme Anything Goes as long as it's mythical fantasy etc. / Optional theme Under the Sea
