This week we have a color challenge.

                                 

For my card I used a cowgirl stamp from There She Goes, a company that went out of business. :( I colored this image with Prismacolor pencils.. I used a MFT die. The sentiment was a combination of a couple stamp sets. I have a friend who loves horses. When she was growing up, her father told her to cowboy up cupcake whenever she fell off.  I now tell myself this sentiment whenever I need to stay strong and be tough!

How-To--
This card was super simple. I stamped and colored the scene. Then cut out.  I then cut a slightly larger mat and adhered this to the base.  I die cut and assembled the bow before adhering.  Not a lot of steps, but I am liking the clean lines and CAS style!

Waddle I Do Without You?

I was going through my stamps today and came across this darling set from There She Goes. I just love the little duck and sentiment. Unfortunately TSG went out of business in 2013. I die cut two tags (Paper Smooches). Stamped and colored the little scene (Spectrum Noir markers). I added some die cut clouds (Sweet 'n Sassy).  I cut & assembled the background papers. Then I used some 3D Tape to the tags. I finished it off with some ribbon, button and twine before stamping the sentiment.

Happy Birthday-Chalkboard

I saw this Fusion challenge and was so inspired!  I just love those colors and the chalkboard...{swoon}!  I used Newton's Nooks Designs-Love Grows-set and There She Goes-Chalkboard Memories-stamp set. The paper is a recent purchase from Michael's for $1.70!  Yes, I said $1.70 for a 6x6 pad of My Mind's Eyes-Lost & Found Heirloom.  (I went shopping for stocking stuffers on Christmas Eve and My Mind's Eyes 6x6 pads were 70% off plus I got my teacher discount!  I bought myself quite a few stocking stuffers that day! Dream It Up January Challenge--Birthday Wishes

Scent-sational Birthday

Darnell over at dkardkreations is having a super fun challenge--Never Before Used Schtuff).  For this challenge, I pulled out a skunk from There She Goes Stamps to play with.  I love this stamp set, but TSG is now out of business, so I don't use them.  Why is that?

For that balloon, I used some new sequins that I've never used.  Got these at the local dollar store.  I first stamped and colored the balloon (Lawn Fawn), then I covered it in Glossy Accents and added the sequins.  When that was dry, I added another layer of Glossy Accents.  I love how it turned out!
