Create a project with a spectacular using the 

colors green and brown!

Here's my inspiration:

For my card, I used A Day for Daisies'  Girl with Bunny image. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils. I created a textured background by die cutting two different colors of green using two plaid frame dies.  I then added brown ribbon and bow.  I opted not to use a sentiment so the focus would stay on the image.

CIC368--A Day for Daisies

Welcome to this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

This week we have some amazing colors to inspire you.

For my card, I used A Day For Daisies' Cat Fish image. 
(Each Sweetie had the privilege to pick a different image so be sure to check out their projects to see more amazing A Day for Daisies images.)

For those who know me, I adore cats. Therefore I decided to take this love and put a magical twist to it. I selected this particular image because I have a gray cat, Catapult, who thinks and acts like a princess. 

For the background, I used a stencil (STAMPlorations) and used Distress Ink to shade it. Then I die cut the circles (MFT). For the image, I printed two copies and trimmed one to make a mask. I covered the top of the image with the mask then stamped the design (Skipping Stones Designs) on the tail. I colored the remaining image with Spectrum Noir markers. I added the ribbon and sentiment with a sprinkling of orange stars...a magical card that will hopefully brighten someone's birthday!

Cupcake Inspirations #272-A Day for Daisies

This week I am so excited to share my card.  I love A Day for Daisies images, especially any image with a kitty on it (big surprise!).  This week's image is entitled Tiger, and it reminds me of myself when I was a little girl.  I had a gray tabby named Spooky, and I would have rather married him when I was in third grade than any icky boy in my class!  He was such a sweet heart.  We had plenty of good times together, including all those days when I dressed him up in doll clothes! Okay, maybe it wasn't so fun for him, but he tolerated it without a hiss or growl.  Fortunately, I outgrew my dislike of boys, but my love of cats has never wavered.   My hubby and I now have a gray Maine Coon, Catapult, who is showered with love and kisses (but no doll clothes)!

I just had to make sure Spooky was part of the Easter picture!

CIC 196--A Day for Daisies & a Surprise Announcement
