I created four cards using different color variations depicting the colors of the ocean.  I was inspired to use seashells from the challenges listed below.

I created the stitched panel using the Basic Frames die set and added waves using the Waves Stencil. I added a Kraft frame behind to depict sand.  I used the sea-gathering lady from the Summer Moments stamp set and cut using a Scan'n'Cut. Coordinating dies are also available.  I also added a jar of seashells using the Seashell Roundabout stamp set. I then made the jar using the Hot Foil Plate & Die on acetate.  I placed the jar atop the seashells.  I stamped the sentiment on a banner ( Banner Duo die set). I loved how these cards came out.  Now it's your turn to create  a summer card. I can't wait to see what your create!

Inky Paws Challenge #144

Time for a new
Inky Paws Challenge!

Sketch  Challenge--

Use the above sketch with
your Newton's Nook Designs products.

Here's my inspiration!

Have an egg-stra special day by Debbie features Basketweave, Framework, Newton's Easter Basket, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #eastercards, #cardmaking, #catcards

My Easter card uses lots of Newton's Nook Designs products. I began by using the  Basketweave stencil.  This is quickly becoming a favorite!  I then die cut using the scallop-edged frame die from the Framework die set.  I then made a shaker element using the Snow Globe die set.  I embossed some white clouds inside using the Clouds stencil on pale yellow card stock.  I added some diamond art rhinestones from my ever growing leftovers.  They make for colorful, fun shaker elements without the high cost!  The banners were made using two dies from the Frames & Flags die set.  The fun image is from the Newton's Easter Basket stamp set. I colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut the image out. I love the different textures and dimensions of this fun Easter card!

Link up by March 26, 2021 for a chance to win a $20 gift voucher
 from Newton's Nook Designs.
I look forward to seeing how you interpret the sketch!

Hugs,
Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #101 Reminder

There's still time to join the Inky Paws Challenge!
It's all about colors, which are so much fun!

Red, pink, lime green, light brown.

For my card, I decided to try my hand at a split-card design.

I started by created the background inside the card using Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and the Cloudy Sky  stencil.  I wanted these clouds to peek through the middle of the front.

For the front of the card, I did a lot of die cutting to create the top and bottom portions.  I used the Sky Borders Fence, and Land Borders die sets.  To connect the top and bottom portions, I made sure the sweet pig was adhered to both.  I then added the birthday pig (both pigs are from the Oink  stamp set) with his scrumptious birthday cake.  I thought it would be fun having a cow in the scene (I adore cows.), so I stamped and colored the cow from the Moo stamp set and added the sentiment on a speech bubble from the Speech Bubbles die set. I thought the hills looked a bit barren, so I
scattered some flowers from the Dainty Daisies stamp set.  (I decided the card needed some more stability, so I went back and added vellum to the center.)

Well, that about does it.  I think I set a personal record of using 8 different NND products on my card!  LOL!  I just love how you can mix and match sets to create different scenes!
Hope you will join us with these fun colors for your chance to win a $20 gift card to add to your NND collection!   Link up to Inky Paws Challenge here.

Happy Stamping!
Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #99

This biweekly challenge is a:

Theme Challenge

Create a project using the theme--Rainbow!

For your chance to win a $20 store credit, before to link up by June 14, 2019 (midnight CST).

Here's my inspiration!

For my card, I chose Newton's Block Party stamp set because I thought it would be so fun to shade each one the color of the rainbow.  I used watercolor pencils as well as some glossy accents.  For a bit more glam, I pulled out some sparkly card stock and used the Frames Squared die set to make the scalloped edges.  The black card base was chosen to make the colors pop, and I again used the Frames Squared die set.  I splattered some sequins and silver stars around the sentiment.  Wa-lah---a colorful clowder of kitties!

Be sure to link up your cards at Inky Paws!!

Can't wait to see your rainbow masterpiece!

This week we are hosting a theme challenge.  We want to see plaid incorporated into your projects using stencils, stamps, pattern paper, or whatever way you can include it!

Here's my inspiration!

I love the plaid stencil set by Newton's Nook Designs! They are so fun to create backgrounds! I decide to use a white, lime green, and orange color scheme. My images are from the Moose Mountain stamp set. I added a layer of snow and die cut my background using Framework.  I added some white polka dots on the female's snowsuit and glossy accents on the googles!

I hope you will join the DT Sweeties this week. Remember to incorporate plaid in your design.  You might be the lucky winner of a Newton's Nook Designs store!  You won't be disappointed as there are so many amazing products!

Inky Paws Challenge #82 Reminder

There's still time to play with these amazing colors from Inky Paws!

Create a project using the colors:  Lime Green, Yellow, Orange, and Purple.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge!

This isn't a thank you card by Debbie features Newton's Naptime, Thankful Thoughts, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday, and one of my dear friends gave me a very soft, snuggly blanket with cats on it!  Before I even had a chance to use it, my sweet Catapult commandeered it for her own pleasure.  This inspired me to make a thank you card featuring blankets to give to my friend!
My card features:
 Newton's Nap Time stamp set
Thankful Thoughts stamp set
Frames & Flags die set  (a must have!)

And here is my Catapult enjoying my new present and in my craft room no less while I was slaving away at work!  LOL
