Inky Paws Challenge #144

Time for a new
Inky Paws Challenge!

Sketch  Challenge--

Use the above sketch with
your Newton's Nook Designs products.

Here's my inspiration!

Have an egg-stra special day by Debbie features Basketweave, Framework, Newton's Easter Basket, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #eastercards, #cardmaking, #catcards

My Easter card uses lots of Newton's Nook Designs products. I began by using the  Basketweave stencil.  This is quickly becoming a favorite!  I then die cut using the scallop-edged frame die from the Framework die set.  I then made a shaker element using the Snow Globe die set.  I embossed some white clouds inside using the Clouds stencil on pale yellow card stock.  I added some diamond art rhinestones from my ever growing leftovers.  They make for colorful, fun shaker elements without the high cost!  The banners were made using two dies from the Frames & Flags die set.  The fun image is from the Newton's Easter Basket stamp set. I colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut the image out. I love the different textures and dimensions of this fun Easter card!

Link up by March 26, 2021 for a chance to win a $20 gift voucher
 from Newton's Nook Designs.
I look forward to seeing how you interpret the sketch!

Hugs,
Debbie

Here's my inspiration!

Movie night by Debbie features Newton's Movie Night, Sea Borders, Cloudy Sky, Shark Frenzy, and Purr-maid Newton by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

My husband and I love to watch the TV show, Through the Decades, and recently we watched a clip about the impact the movie Jaws had on the American public.  This got me thinking about when my older sister came home from seeing this movie in 1975.  She had to be about 10-11 years old, and when she got home, she was terrified to go near our fish tank.  I was about 7 years old, and I thought how odd it was that my sister had instantly become afraid of some little fish!  Only when I was a bit older and was allowed to watch Jaws did I have a much better understanding.

I absolutely adore these trio of movie-going felines, so I decided to create a card for my sister's upcoming birthday with a Jaws theme to help her relive her childhood nightmare! (Nope, I haven't outgrown my love of annoying my sister! LOL)

I created the film strip by die cutting (a very old Sizzix die) in black. I then created the two film cells using the Sea Borders die set, Cloudy Sky stencil, images from the Shark Frenzy stamp set and the Purr-maid Newton stamp set. The first cell has a shark fin sneaking up on an unsuspecting swimmer.  The second cell has the shark attacking!  Yikes!  As you can see from the movie-going felines, there is an assortment of emotions.  (I would be the one covering my eyes!)  These felines are from the Newton's Movie Night stamp and die set show, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite sets!  Can't wait to send this card to my sister!

Now it's your turn to create 1 or more cards using a past IPC challenge!
Can't wait to see what you create!
Hugs,
Debbie

Mahalo

I was playing with acrylic paints again. Today I played with hot colors. I pulled out the Aloha Newton stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs. I also used NND's dies sets:  Frames & Flags and Framework. I colored my image with Spectrum Noir markers.
I really like how this turned out.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks a Latte-ATC

For this card, I tried my hand at an ATC card.  My students are always giving me little presents, so I think I will whip up a bunch of these little cards and stash them in my desk.  This card features this cute hedgehog from Gerda Steiner.  I am just loving this image!

Challenges:

Naughty or Nice?

For this card, I pulled out a Christmas set from Newton's Nook Designs. It's called Santa Paws Newton.  I just love the fun sentiment!

Hi Everyone!  This card showcases Newton's Nook Designs' Winter Tales.  I just love this set!  I've also used the sentiment, Snow Day, from Cardz TV Snow Day set.  I'm almost motivated to go out and play in the snow today because it's snowing again here in Utah!  Yay!  ~Debbie

TCP-Sneaky Peek Day 3--Boo Y'All

SneakyPeakPeeks_03

It's day 3 of The Cat's Pajamas' September Release!  And guess who is back?  My favorite long-earred bunny!  I know with him in that scary costume, he doesn't look quite as cuddly.  But don't be fooled...he's the same sweetie!  I wanted him to be the focal point, so I kept this card quite CAS.  Thanks Happy Little Stampers for a super fun sketch! For a chance to win this stamp set, head on over to TCP's In It To Win It Thread at SplitcoastStampers. Just comment in this thread and you could win this stamp set.
