CIC318--Doodle Pantry--Fluffy Kitty

Hello and welcome to a new color challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. We have a great sponsor: Doodle Pantry.  For those who know me well, know I have a fondness for cat images!  When I saw this incredible image (Shaggy Cat), I knew I had to have it and to color it so it looks like my very own "Princess" Catapult. I wanted to give the chair a velvet-y look. I used my Sprectrum Noir colored pencils. I am still working on my ability to color and blend with these pencils, so I am not completely happy with the chair, but the cat turned out pretty well. Okay, this might not be the most traditional Valentine's card, but this image from Bugaboo is perfect for my stepdaughter.  She just loves skulls and crossbones!  I can't wait to send it to her!

Bee Happy--Bright and Cheerful!

Here's a clean and simple card I made because I needed something bright and cheerful!  (It's been at least one week of indoor mornings and recesses!  Image 34 third graders and one teacher with cabin fever!  To top it all off--the temperatures are rising, but the inversion will be setting in--more indoor days!  UGH!  The joys of living by mountains!)

Putt Putt

Finally made it back into my craft room after an absence of 6 weeks!  Got to play with my new stamps from The Cat's Pajamas.  I absolutely love this rabbit.  Also got to play with the birthday present I bought myself--Spectrum Noir markers!  I have been wanting to play with alcohol-based markers, but Copics were just not in my budget.  I am excited to have an affordable alternative.
