Here's a clean and simple card I made because I needed something bright and cheerful! (It's been at least one week of indoor mornings and recesses! Image 34 third graders and one teacher with cabin fever! To top it all off--the temperatures are rising, but the inversion will be setting in--more indoor days! UGH! The joys of living by mountains!)
Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp--Use Washi Tape!
I used some new washi tape from Recollections--a little stocking stuffer I bought for myself!
Whimsical Designs--Whimsical Wednesday--Anything Goes Challenge
Stamps:
The Alley Way--Talk to Me

Thanks a Latte
I am so in love with this cute little mouse (Cocoa) by Sweet and Sassy. I used Card Positioning Sketch (CPS) #252. This was a super fun sketch! I am also entering this in Whimsical Wednesday Design Challenge--Anything Goes. Thanks for stopping by and any comments are appreciated! Indy

JUGS #97--Technique Week & Whimsical Wednesday "Back to School"
This week Just Us Girls challenged us to alter a notebook and Whimsical Wednesday challenged us to create something for back to school. As I get ready to head back to my classroom, these were very timely challenges. This year students will have a writing composition notebook to use as their writing journal. One of their first homework assignments will to decorate the cover and make it personal. That's exactly what I did with mine. Because this journal will be getting a lot of wear and tear, I decided to keep it very simple without all those 3D embellishments that I just love. I did use library pockets that I plan to put 3x5 cards in to keep track of books read to model good writing. The black cat has a very personal meaning to me. My black cat, Pet Peeve--known better as Peevey, died last February. Though my students never met him in person, they grew to love him with all the stories I told and wrote about him. Though I now have an 18-week old kitten, Catapult, Peevey continues to be missed.
