Scuba-Enjoy Your Day

Scuba-Enjoy Your Day: Newton's Nook Designs

When I saw this sketch, I loved it. I decided to go with a playful scene vs. a floral one.  I also had fun making the background.  I've been using lots of pattern papers, so this was a bit of a diversion. I used several shades of blue for the different depths (Distress Oxide inks).

The colors, flowers and including a sky inspired this card.

I've had this paper pad in my stash for ages. I picked it up at a store like Michaels while I still lived in Utah, which was more than 7 years ago!  It's obviously been neglected as I still have it!  Yikes!

Inspired by the colors in first square as well as the Hawaiian theme.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Debbie

My second entry to the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop showcases stamps from two of the amazing sponsors.  The island and palm tree is from Sunny Studio called Tropical Scenes.  I won this set a few weeks ago, and I am loving the ability to make fun scenes! The amazing flamingo is from the Caffeine Flamingo stamp set by The Rabbit Hole Designs.

CIC367--Your Next Stamp

Welcome to this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.  This week we are inspiring you to create Tropical-themed projects. Don't you just love those icing-covered pineapples?

Your Next Stamp is our amazing sponsor, who is offering a $25 gift certificate to one randomly chosen participant. Wowza!

For my card, I pulled out one of my favorite YNS stamps--Jungle Critters. I just adore that cute, little toucan. I colored him and the tree with Spectrum Noir markers. The flower and pineapple are from Sunny Studio. To create the background scene, I sponged distress inks then die cut the oval. I added some die cut clouds, adhered all the elements. I finished up with some bright polka dotted washi tape.

For more amazing inspiration, please check out the other Design Team Sweeties' projects!  Seriously, they are incredible!
