Cherry Blossoms Hello

I continue to play with my new frame dies by Newton's Nook Designs. This frame is the Filigree Oval Frame die set. I paired it with the Cherry Blossoms stamp set. I used papers from the Echo Park Life is Beautiful paper pad.   Not a difficult card, but it turned out so beautifully.

Time to reveal a new Inky Paws Challenge!

Use the theme--Birthday

I love this challenge because you can never have too many birthday cards on hand, AND there are so many amazing NND products that can be used to create a birthday card!  Puppies, flowers, coffee, and, of course, CATS!

You have until Friday, May 6, 2022  (Midnight CST).  One lucky (and randomly selected) person will get a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!  

Here's my inspiration!

I love the kittens from the Smitten Kittens stamp set, so I pulled this sweet image and colored her in grays in honor of my female cat, Catapult. (Her 10th birthday was on April 8th, so she was my muse!)  I used the two scallop-edged circle dies from the Circle Frames die set. On the bigger circle, I tried my hand at ink splattering. For the smaller pink circle, I heat embossed the image from the  Birthday Roundabout stamp set.  I placed the circles on a 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" teal card base which was in my scrap pile. I then stamped a sentiment on a banner from the Banner Trio die set and then stamped the bigger sentiment from the Birthday Essentials stamp set.  A birthday hat from the Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set and a few sequins were added for the finishing touches. The smaller card base allows the ink-spattered circle to hang off the edges giving the card a bit of pizzazz!

Inky Paws Challenge #137

 Lime Green, Grass Green, Red, White

Here's my inspiration:

I made a fun Christmas card using the challenge colors.  I combined the Slimline Frames & Windows and the Slimline Frames & Porthole die sets to create the frames in red and lime green. I used the Plaid stencil to create a panel which I die cut to fit the outer windows. I added a banner in the center window with the "Merry & Bright" sentiment from the  Sentiments of the Season stamp set. Two Winston images from the Winston's Home for Christmas stamp set were colored with Spectrum Noir markers and popped up with dimension tape. Nothing super fancy for this card, but I really like how it turned up!  Hope you will join us soon!

Here's my inspiration!

For my card, I used the Cup of Cocoa  stamp set. I decided to make several tags that would work fabulously with either a gift certificate or a bag of hot chocolate. I used the Fancy Edges Tag die set. I played around with several black and white pattern paper with various designs and added black ribbon and red & white twine.

Here's my inspiration!

I recently purchased the Toucan Party stamp set. These toucans are so much fun to color!  I decided to add a bright polka-dotted background to make the black pop. I added the large tropical leaves to add some tropical accents. Finally I used  the Frames & Flags die set to create the frame.  

I hope you will ink up and join in, and if you haven't seen the new release, I highly suggest popping over to the Newton's Nook shop to check them out!  They are so fun!
