Inky Paws Challenge #238 Week 3

 Welcome to Inky Paws'

March Challenge!

For March, we have a spring theme to play with!

You have four weeks to get creative with showers and flowers using your NND Products!

You have from Friday, March 28, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. One random participant will receive a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Debbie's spring card features Heartfelt Blooms, Floral Delights, Spring Blooms, Plaid, Petite Flowers, and Newton's Flower Garden by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #floralcards, #flowercards, #catcards

I started by cutting a 4"x5 1/4" panel in white and one in pink. I used Distress Oxide ink and the Petite Flowers to create the pink panel. I then cut this panel in half-2"x 5 1/4". I then used the same ink with the Plaid stencil on white paper. I then used Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn with the second stencil from the Plaid stencil set.  I cut this panel in half. I adhered both panels to my card base.  I then stamped and colored (Copic Markers) the daisies from the Floral Delights stamps set. I added the square panel using the green Quatrefoil design from the Spring Blooms paper pad. I then stamped and colored the feline from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp set. I added a bit of lavender to add a pop of color. I adhered with 3D tape.  Finally, I used the Mowed Lawn pad to make the strip of green paper and added the sentiment from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set. I love all the pink and all the different flowers.

Hope Your Day Rocks

This card is for my hubby who has his very own music room where he enjoys his vinyl collection. The stamp set is by Paper Smooches-BeBoppin.  I arranged the stamps on my Mini Misti.  I stamped on one corner. Then turned my paper and stamped the opposite corner.  I love the mirror image. I then stamped the sentiment.  I added a black border and placed on a green card base for a pop of color.  Super CAS, but I think it's perfect for a masculine birthday!

Challenges for this card:
I was inspired by the black, white, vinyl, and musical notes on this list.

Just Us Girls-#766  (I thought Green would pop with the white and black panel.)

Smooth Birthday

I haven't played with this Lawn Fawn's stamp set in ages.  This is the So Smooth stamp set.  I just love the little faces that come with it.  In addition to this stamp set, I used Newton's Nook Designs' Frames & Tags, Basic Frames, and Circle Frames die sets for the different layers.

Oh, the Places You Go!

Floaty Potato

I haven't used this darling stamp set in ages. Those sweet manatees are from Newton's Nook Designs  Manatee-rific stamp set. I've had this set since 2018!  I also used the Hexagon Frames die set by Newton's Nook Designs. I used some fun paper pad-- beyond the Seas (First Edition). With the addition of some dew drops, I think the card turned out pretty cute.

Cover Your Eyes

I just love this Newton's Nook Designs stamp set--Newton's Bright Birthday. I stamped them on an oval (NND-Oval Frames die set).  I added the three balloons using the NND Cycling Friends stamp set.  I added the pink and blue plaid paper die cut using the Frames & Flags scalloped die.  The paper is from Lawn Fawn--Perfectly Plaid.

Inky Paws Challenge #238 Week 2

 Welcome to Inky Paws'

March Challenge!

For March, we have a spring theme to play with!

You have four weeks to get creative with showers and flowers using your NND Products!

You have from Friday, March 28, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. One random participant will receive a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

I began by using the Quatrefoill stencil with Shabby Shutter Distress Oxide ink.  I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5 1/4 inches and adhered to the white card base.  I then used the A7 Frames & Banners die set to create the three stitched panels.  I stamped two panels with the flower image from the Hyacinth stamp set.  I colored these with different shades of lavender Copic Markers.  I then decided to stamp the flower image on the third panel using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink.  I decided not to color this image.  I then cut out the hexagonal panels-one from white card stock and one from vellum.  I stamped the sentiment on the smaller, white one and framed it with the vellum one.  I decided to add the bit of jute twine to give the card a bit of texture.  I thought this card turned out pretty well. I love the different colored hyacinths!

I hope this inspires you to join us at Inky Paws!

Hugs, Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #238 Week 1

Inky Paws Challenge

Week 1 Inspiration

You have from Monday, March 3, 2025 to Friday, March 28, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

Deb's spring card features Rainy Day Doxy, Newton's Umbrella, Spring Roundabout, Fractured Layout, and Petite Flowers by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #springcards, #floralcards, #catcards, #dogcards, rainydaycards

I wasn't sure quite how to interpret this challenge.  Flowers? Showers? or Both?  I decided to go with both showers and flowers!  I started with a black card base.  I then pulled white card stock and used the Petite Flowers stencil and distressed in the colors of the rainbow.  I then used the Fractured Card Layout die to cut my distressed panel.  I also used this die with black card stock.  I thought the black looked very dynamic with the rainbow colors.  I then stamped and colored the kitty from the  Newton's Umbrella stamp set and the puppy from the Rainy Day Doxie stamp set.  I decided to color the kitty's umbrella in warm colors and the puppy's in cool colors.  I felt this continued the rainbow effect from the floral panel.  I added some 3D foam tape to make the critters pop. I added some small clear dots on the umbrella to make it look like raindrops.  I finished by stamping the sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set. I thought this card turned out wonderfully! Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs, Debbie

1 Sketch-4 Unique Cards

The above sketched inspired all four of the above cards. I used the retired White Rabbit Hole Designs coffee critters for each card, but tried to make each card unique by changing the shape for each one.
