Seriously...coffee

I pulled out an old coffee stamp set to play with a couple of challenges. This set is from The Alley Way, who unfortunately is no longer in business. :(
I added the fun sentiment from Gerda Steiner Designs because seriously...there is no way I would forget coffee!  LOL

What's Perking? Coffee Lovers Blog Hop #5

I am so loving all the coffee cards this week!  This card features one of my all time favorite coffee-themed stamp sets---Breakfast Club--by The Alley Way Stamps.  I love all the different types of coffee mugs, and they are just size!  I water colored using Distress Inks. I was inspired by this puzzle with it's bordered pictures and mostly brown pictures!  ~D

mmm... coffee

I had more time tonight for another card, so here it is!  I used a stencil and Distress Ink to make the background. I then stamped (The Alley Way) some coffee cup stains. I added the the strip, vellum, and twine. I stamped the coffee cup (The Alley Way) and colored with Spectrum Noir markers and adhered.  The steam was stamped on vellum and adhered.  I finished it up with the sentiment...coffee (The Alley Way). With a little dot finished it off!  Now I'm thirsty and in need of some caffeine!

The Alley Way Stamps-December Guest Designer

Hi everyone!
I am so excited and very honored to be a Guest Designer for The Alley Way Stamps!  I love Alison's amazing stamps, and the TAWS design team always amazes me!

I made two cards today which were both inspired by this month's Be Inspired Challenge photo, especially that beautiful white tree with the green, red and gingerbread ornaments.

For my first card, I used Holiday Sparkles and True Colors. I created a stencil by die cutting a star from thick card stock. I placed the stencil on the card base then stamped the brush stroke using Distressed inks until I had completely filled in the star.  I repeated this several times then stamped the sentiment.  To add a bit of sparkle, I added some glitter as well as colored over the stars with a glitter gel pen.

My second project is a little gift card bag for one of my granddaughters.  I used the Background Check to create the random ornaments on the tree.  I colored the circles with Spectrum Noir markers and add Glossy Accents to add dimension.  I stamped, colored, fussy cut the gingerbread man as well as the tiny tag.  I add some twine and ribbon and pearls.  The bigger tag inside was punched to hold a gift card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back later this month with more inspiration!
Hugs,
Debbie

Make a Change!

My last card for tonight as I am suppose to be getting some work done for tomorrow!  This card uses the Techno Stamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch #332 and the TAWS-Be Inspired photo challenge #57. I loved the dots and their colors, so I pulled them in using The Alley Ways stamp sets--Background Check and randomly colored some dots in with Spectrum Noir markers.  I also liked that cute onesie, so I used TAWS Tiny Treasures.  The sentiment and 1 penny came from TAWS-Change set.  I think this would be the cutest 1st birthday card, so I'm entering it into Seize the Birthday's challenge! I pulled it together with a few little dot embellies!  A fun, quick birthday card!  Thanks, as always, for dropping by!  Debbie

Here's a stack of java cups that have all been paper pieced.  I used  The Alley Way's Breakfast Club stamps.  I used the Be Inspired #56 photo for inspiration.  I mimicked the triangular enclosure by stacking the cups, and I used colors from the blankets for my paper selection.  Thanks for stopping by!
