IPC#4 Sketch

Relax by Debbie features Floaty Goat, Seashells, Land Borders and Sea Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I won my first Newton's Nook Designs stamp set way  back on October 18, 2013, and I've been a Newton junkie since then!  So to pick from the 99 different challenges, I was a bit overwhelmed.  Therefore, I decided to use the sketch (IPC#4) that started my NND adventure. For my card, I created a little river flowing between the seashore using the Land Border and Sea Borders die sets. To create the seashore, I used distress ink and matte texture paste with the Seashell stencil. I adhered the layers before cutting with the rounded-edge die from the Framework die set. I stamped and colored the goat from the Floaty Goat stamp set and added glossy accents to make the tube look inflated.  I used the 'relax' sentiment from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp set.

Here's my 1st IPC entry using the above sketch!
I used Newton's Holiday Mischief, which was my very first NND stamp set that I had won from a NND blog hop!  Since that fateful day, my NND collection has grown a lot--not only are there amazingly cute stamp, but the stencils and dies are just amazing!

Now it's your turn to make our 100th challenge extra fabulous!

This week is a Theme challenge.
We want to see a card that features a Pop UP element.

Here is my inspiration!

I didn't quite make a pop-up card, but I did make an interactive card with this sweet pig from the Pool Piggies stamp set.  Those fun waves were made using the Waves stencil from Newton's Nook Designs. I also used a die cut (source unknown) for the sliding element. The fun scallop-edged base was cut from Newton's Nook Designs' Framework die set.

Relax, read, repeat by Debbie features Newton's Book Club by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
For my card, I used the Newton's Book Club stamp set.  I added glossy accents to the books to give them a bit of dimension.  For my background, I splattered distress inks of many colors. I then added strips of paper to create a rainbow at the bottom of my card.  I added a bit of washi tape to the edge.  I thought it looked like book tape!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you link up your rainbow creation over at Inky Paws!

Theme Challenge

Create a project using the theme--Rainbow!

For your chance to win a $20 store credit, before to link up by June 14, 2019 (midnight CST).

Here's my inspiration!

For my card, I chose Newton's Block Party stamp set because I thought it would be so fun to shade each one the color of the rainbow.  I used watercolor pencils as well as some glossy accents.  For a bit more glam, I pulled out some sparkly card stock and used the Frames Squared die set to make the scalloped edges.  The black card base was chosen to make the colors pop, and I again used the Frames Squared die set.  I splattered some sequins and silver stars around the sentiment.  Wa-lah---a colorful clowder of kitties!

Be sure to link up your cards at Inky Paws!!

Can't wait to see your rainbow masterpiece!

As a teacher, I love getting handmade cards from my students and their parents, so I made one that I would love to received!  I selected papers from the Doodlebug Design's Back to School paper pad.  These papers work so well together!  I added the teacher image from the Classy Teacher stamp set. It's a simply designed card, but I love the green and red against the black and white!  Now it's your turn to create a card using this amazing sketch.  You have until May 31!  Link up at Inky Paws Challenge!

This biweekly challenge is a:

Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the above sketch.

Here's my inspiration!

Enjoy the little moments by Debbie features Garden Mice, Bokeh, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I used a looser interpretation of the sketch by placing the sweet mouse from the Garden Mice stamp set upon the vellum and white scalloped frame using the Framework die set. I wrapped twine around everything and added some white enamel dots. I created a lavender and light blue background using the Bokeh stencil. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom to finish the card.  I really like how the circles in the butterfly's wings coordinate with the circles in the background.

Now it's your turn to interpret the IPC Sketch.

Inky Paws Challenge #97

It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge!

Color Challenge

Create a project using the colors white, green, teal, and yellow

Here's my inspiration!

You're Moo-velous by Debbie features Moo, My Type, Frames & Flags, Sky Borders, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

As soon as I saw the cows from the new Moo stamp set, I knew I had to make a card based on Doreen Cronin's book, Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type. This book makes me giggle because the cows type letters to the farmer with their demands (heated blankets!), and the farmer responds by typing them back.  It's a fun, delightful book!  So for my card, I created the sky using distress inks and the Sky Borders die set. I created the grass using the Land Borders die set. I colored and fussy cut the cow from the  Moo stamp set.  I then stamped and cut out a couple of bales of hay, and then placed the typewriter (My Type stamp set) on the hay. I used the Frames & Flags die set to cut out the center panel and the scalloped-edge layer using a yellow pattern paper.
I hope I've inspired you not only to read this fabulous children's book, but more importantly create a project using these amazing colors!  You have until Friday, May 17, 2019 at Midnight CST.

CIC #469--Lawn Fawn & Coffee Lover's Blog Hop--#7

There's still time to play with us at Cupcake Inspirations!

We are sponsored bLawn Fawn.

Lawn Fawn is generously providing a $25 gift certificate to their store to our randomly chosen winner.

Thank you for sponsoring this challenge!

For my card, I created a hexagon-shaped tag which has been embossed with a hexagon folder. Since the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is also going on, I used this darling coffee-loving bee from The Rabbit Hole. I wanted to use a Lawn Fawn coffee image, but when I pulled out my Lawn Fawn products, I was completely shocked that I don't have any summer/spring coffee images!
(I will need to remedy this quickly!)

I hope you create a shaped card and join us at Cupcake Inspirations!
Thanks for stopping by!
