Bang--Explosive Day

 

Here is my last card for The Alley Way Stampy Sunday Link Party.  I tried my hand combining TAWS Ka-Pow set with CAS(E) this Sketch.  It didn't turn out quite the way I had imagined.  To be honest, it doesn't have that "bang" that I had been hoping to achieve.  But I've spent a bit too much time in the craft room and not enough on grading, so off I must depart.  Maybe my while I'm dreaming tonight, I'll come up with what is missing.  Thanks for stopping by!

For my card I used Ladybug Teapot.

I used Jim Holtz Crackle Accents on the teapot (ugh, I grabbed the wrong marker for the red and it bled!)  I sponged Jim Holtz Distress Ink--Peeled Paint to turn a white doily into green.  Well enough, about me.  It's your turn to get your mojo following and link up to this week's challenge!  Can't wait to see your work!

Craft It Up & Link It Up Party #6

I ran across a great link up over at Craftin' Desert Diva's.  This Craft It Up & Link It Up Party is to show your craft space/room.  I just love seeing into the lives of other crafters.  My hubby built me this fabulous craft room and storage closet! The window opening you see overlooks the family room, so I can be crafting and watching TV with my hubby at the same time.  Recently we had shutters hung on all the windows, so this opening can now be closed when I'm not crafting.  This way I can leave my craft room messy when we have company.  Well, thanks for stopping by.  Hope you'll link up too, so I can glimpse where you create all your amazing projects!

2 for Stella Says Sketch May Challenge

Today I was on a roll using this month's Stella Says Sketch 

at Catch the Bug Challenges.  

Both cards use a Bugaboo Digi Images.  This card features Occupation Bear Fireman.

Inside there's a happy birthday message.  This card is for my son-in-law who is living his childhood dream of being a fireman.

My second card features Super Pig. I paired this super cute image with The Alley Way's Ka-Pow stamp set.  (I just indulged myself with this set, and I am loving the possibilities of how to combine it with other stamps and images in my collection.)  Did you notice that I used the same die on both cards?  Another treat to myself (bought my own Mom's Day presents this year)!  This the Circle Border die from Simon Says.  I am loving it!!!

I used Sweet 'n Sassy's adorable Springtime Cocoa set!  

If you look closely there is a wee little ladybug!  Cocoa is my favorite mouse image,

 For the rest of my card, I used Petal Pushers from The Alley Way. For the buds, I used sequins.  Yep, finally got to the store to buy some, so I could play with this new, fun trend!

Yeah!  My new The Alley Way stamps arrived yesterday, and I had time to ink them up in time to play again in the BE Inspired challenge!  I love the diagonals and colors of this challenge!  For this card, I used Background Check.  LOVE these!

Loss of a Pet #2

Been a rough day.  Found out my favorite aunt had to put her beloved kitty down this weekend.  This is my second loss of a pet card today, and I have to tell you these have been difficult to make.  I had to put my pet Peeve down 2 years ago and making these cards brought back both incredible memories and painful tears of his loss.  For all my blogging buddies out there who have loss a pet, I know you understand.
