Inky Paws Challenge #135

Ready to get your "paws" inky?

Inky Paws has a new challenge starting today!

Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the above sketch!

Here's my inspiration!

Meow you doing by Debbie features Newton Unwinds and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #cardmaking,

I had so much fun playing with this sketch.  I began with a Tim Holtz embossing folder--dotted lines--that mimics strings of yarn.  Then I pulled out this amazing fun feline paper by Doodlebug Design.  It's called Kitten Smitten.  I love the bright pastel colors and different patterns, especially the yarn paper in the center.  I cut the center panel out using the rounded-corner die from the Frames & Flags die. The stitched edging adds such a nice touch.  For my main attraction, I showcased the little feline on the big ball of yarn from the Newton Unwinds stamp set.  I added the sentiment and "underlined" it with the little ball of yarn.

I hope my card has inspired you to join this challenge using these yummy colors.  You have until  Friday, November 6, 2020 at Midnight CST.  One lucky participant will be the winner of a $20 gift voucher to Newton's Nook Designs!

A new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge starts today!

Here's my inspiration to whet your appetite!

My card uses Newton's Nook Design's stamps and dies.  I also used the sketch from the current Inky Paws Challenge.I used a retired NND stamp set (one of my favorites) for the trio of costume clad critters.
I cut the center using the Circle Frames die set. Peeking behind the cut out are spooky images from the Spooky Roundabout stamp set. The sentiment was stamped on a die cut from the Banner Trio die set.

Now it's your turn to create using these gorgeous colors!

Hope you will join the Sweeties using the CIC theme.

Happy haunting by Debbie features Spooky Roundabout, Halloween Trio, Circle Frames, Frames & Flags, Hoppy Halloween, Candy Corn, and Spiderweb by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

I adore Newton's Nook Designs products.  Besides being totally darling images, I love the way you mix and match between stamp sets!  Then there are the amazing stencils and fun dies.  This card features lots of products.  I began with a purple distressed background die cut using the scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set.  This set is one of my go-to die sets and was so worth purchasing!  I added orange cobwebs using the Spiderweb stencil. I then die cut the scallop-edge circle using a die from the  Circle Frames die set.  I stamped the fun Halloween images using the  Spooky Roundabout  stamp set. The black banner with the white embossed sentiment was die cut using a banner from the Frames & Flags die set (another go-to set). The trio of Halloween critters are from the Frames & Flags die set and colored using Spectrum Noir markers.  All the candy scattered around them come from the Candy Corn and the Halloween stamp sets.  Again, I love finding the little images that can be used with different stamp sets to give my card those extra fun elements.

Now it's your turn to create a project using the challenge colors and using your Newton's Nook Designs stamps, dies, and/or stencils.  Be sure to link it up at Inky Paws Challenge.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!

Here's my card to hopefully inspire you to link up!

In my Inky Paws post, I tell you why I love how the Newton's Nook Design images can be mixed-and-matched to create fun, unique cards. This card is one of those mix-and-match ones that brings a smile to my face.  As a child, my grandparents owned a farm, in Indiana so I got to bottle feed calves, feed the adults, and bale hay.  Now living in the Pacific Northwest, I don't often see cows and when I do I reminisce about my childhood.
When I was trying to come up with a plan using the challenge colors, I pulled out the Newton's Costume Party stamp set  and knew I wanted to somehow use those costumes.  Though I love cats, I didn't want to use the kitty image.  Then I spied the barn in the Moo stamp set. Bingo--I wanted a red barn, purple masks, and black and white cows!  The green came in with the ground die cut using the Land Borders die set. I added a red cloudy skyline using the Clouds stencil.  The party sentiment was stamped on a speech bubble die cut using the Speech Bubbles die set.
A super silly Halloween card that I totally love!  This one is for my dad!  Thanks for the fond memories!

Hope you will use the challenge colors and link up your project!

I began with a distressed purple background speckled with white. I added  silhouette grass and hills using the Land Borders die set. In the tall grass I added a little pumpkin patch and kitty from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp set. I added the pug from the Pug-kin stamp set. I created a black moon using a circle die from the Slimline & Portholes die set. Flying high in the sky, I placed  Newton from the Batty Newton stamp set in his vampire costume. I added the white embossed sentiment on the moon!

Here's my inspiration to whet your appetite!
I had so much fun playing with these beautiful colors!  I began with a black card stock and used Deco Foil and Newton's Nook Designs' Ghosts stencil.  I love the red, shiny ghosts!  I added green shiny grass using NND Land Borders die set.  I also added some fir trees using NND Forest Scene Builder die set. I added Newton in his vampire costume using the NND Batty Newton stamp set. That sweet bunny vampire is from one of my favorite NND stamp set. It is unfortunately retired. I used the Framework stamp-edged die to cut out the scene. The sentiment was stamped and cut using the rounded banner from the Banner Trio die set.

Now it's your turn to create using these gorgeous colors!

Create a project using this fun theme--Autumn!

Here's my card to inspire you!

Nuts about you by Debbie features Harvest Tails, Slimline Frames & Windows, Autumn Leaves, Land Borders, and Slimline Frames & Portholes by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I just love seeing all the squirrels in my neighborhood!  The deer in my neighborhood have also been quite busy eating leaves off my newly planted tree and some of my flowers.  I am fortunate to get to see both frequently. Today's autumn card is a tribute to both fabulous critters.

I made a skinny card using a combination of dies using the  Slimline Frames & Portholes and Slimline Frames & Windows. I created an olive green frame with grass die cut using the Land Borders die set. I added olive green leaves using the Autumn Leaves die set. I used the acorn die from the same set and added some glossy accents to make the acorns shiny.  I distressed the windows in yellow and oranges and stamped the "Nuts about You!" sentiment in the center panel.  Using the squirrel and deer images from the Harvest Tails stamp set, I added a trio of squirrels with their stack of acorns.  I placed one in the little wagon that the deer is pulling. I just love how this turned out!

Now it's your turn to create a project using the challenge theme--autumn--and using your Newton's Nook Designs stamps, dies, and/or stencils.  Be sure to link it up at Inky Paws Challenge.

Inky Paws has a new challenge starting today!

Theme Challenge

Create a project using the above theme--Autumn!

Here's my inspiration!

Autumn is here!  The weather is great!  Today I have a fun card with a country charm. I started with a steel-gray card base.  I used the Houndstooth Stencil and distressed it in light brown die cut using the postage-stamp frame die from the Framework die set. I wrapped olive ribbon twice around the card. The focal image is this darling kitten from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set.  This is a new NND stamp, and I just love the vintage milk can with those sunflowers!  {sigh}  I die cut the banner using a die from the Banner Trio die set and stamped the sentiment. I love how all the colors work together!  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you will join us at Inky Paws!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #503

A new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge starts today!

Here's my inspiration to whet your appetite!

I love the theme of this challenge!  Riley and Company is a newer company for me, and I have fallen in love with this sweet, adorable moose!  I used Basketball Riley for this bright, bold card!  My grandson loves basketball, so this card was made for him!  I used circle dies to create center court. I then stamped the basketball image a couple more times and fussy cut the basketballs for the sentiment.  I then die cut the other letters using Newton's Nook Designs Essential Alphabet die set.  I heat embossed the celebrate sentiment and die cut using a banner die.  I love how this turned out!  Now it's your turn to link up your sports-themed project at Cupcake Inspirations.  You have until October 9th!

Hope you will join the Sweeties using the CIC challenge--Sports!

This sweet knight owl from the Knight Owl  stamp set made me think of Don Quixote and his chivalrous manners. I added the fun female owl from the Love Owl-ways stamp set with her beautiful eyelashes!  I created a starry background using Cascading Stars stencil. I added some glitter to my embossing paste to get a bit of shimmer on the blue distressed background. I then created a white frame using dies from the Frames and Flags die set.  I added dimensional tape to pop it up.  I then die cut some tree branches for the sketch banners using the Forest Scene Builder die set and adding more dimensional tape.  I added my little owls colored using Spectrum Noir markers.  I wanted to add a sentiment but couldn't make up my mind of how I wanted to use the card.  "Thanks for saving my day!"  or "You're my hero!"

Now it's your turn to create a project using the challenge colors and using your Newton's Nook Designs stamps, dies, and/or stencils.  Be sure to link it up at Inky Paws Challenge.

Looks like this kitty is scheming to do some international travels! I stamped iconic images on Kraft card base using Newton Dreams of ItalyNewton Dreams of ParisNewton Dreams of New York, and Newton Dreams of London stamp sets. I added a red panel die cut using the rounded-corner rectangle from the Frames & Flags die set. The stow-away kitty from the Stowaway Newton stamp set looks quite comfortable in the suitcase. I added tickets from pattern paper to mimic the sketch banners to add a fun travel touch.  Hopefully, he'll be jetting around the world!

Here's my inspiration to whet your appetite!

I created a fun circle card. I used Newton's Nook Design's Circle Frames die set. I then used the NND Argyle stencil to create the background.  That darling moose is from Riley & Company. This is a newer company for me, and I am just loving their fun moose images and some amazing snarky sentiments. This is the Coffee Riley image!
