Inky Paws Challenge #85 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Create a project using the colors: red, whitegreen, and black.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge!

I decided to go in a different direction by not using the colors for a Christmas card. I pulled out a stamp set I haven't had the pleasure of using and created this birthday card for my grandson's 9th birthday that is coming up in December.

Wishing you a frenzy of fun by Debbie features Shark Frenzy, Sea Borders, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
For this card, I used the following Newton's Nook Designs products.
Framework (I just love this die set!)
Sea Borders die set for the vellum waves
Shark Frenzy stamp set (I tend to like coloring in bright colors, but I enjoyed shading these critters in shades of gray)
Newton Loves Cake stamp set (I used the birthday hat from this set.)
I sure hope you will pull out your NND stamps, dies, and stencils to play with us!

Now for my inspiration:
\
I used Poppy Stamps Purrfect Holiday Christmas stamp set. This is such a darling set with fun felines to color!  I colored them in brown and place them on kraft paper. I used a cream-colored snowflake from my stash and added it to the top left corner. I cut off the extra and used it on the other corner and inside.  I die cut the sentiment (Newton's Nook Designs) and adhered with a few sequins.  It turned out pretty cute with only using shades of brown, which was a challenge for me!
Hope you will join us at Cupcake Inspirations!
Hugs,
Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #84 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Create a project using Burlap or Twine.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge!

It's beginning to look a sloth like Christmas by Debbie features Slothy Christmas, Forest Scene Builder, Autumn Leaves, Frameworks, Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I created this playful scene by beginning with the Framework die set to create the background.I embossed using a polka dotted folder. I added the burlap trees by die cutting them with the Forest Scene Builder die set. I then added a twine rope in which the sweet sloth from the Slothy Christmas stamp set to slide upon. The leaves from the Autumn Leaves die set work well as tropical leaves. To finish I added the sentiment to the banner using the Frames & Flags die set.
I am pretty excited about this card because it turned out so much better than I had planned. The sloth is a joy to color!
Hope you will join us at Inky Paws Challenge by adding some twine and/or burlap to your NND projects by Friday, November 9.

Inky Paw Challenge #83 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Create a project using the sketch.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge!

All you knead is love by Debbie features Made from Scratch, Newton's Kitchen, Newton's Thanksgiving, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I recently purchased some new pattern papers with a cooking/baking theme, so I decided to pull the out and make a baking card. I die cute the background paper using Framework die set. I couldn't decide with chef Newton to use, so I decided to use several for the steps to make a pie. These images come from the following sets: Made from ScratchNewton's Kitchen, and the Newton's Thanksgiving stamp sets.  I love the idea of mix, knead, roll, and enjoy!  Using scraps from die cutting the pattern paper, I created the stripe and then added a bit of twine with a bow.  I just love how you can mix and match images from different NND sets to create a fun, unique card!

Be sure to link up your NND card featuring this incredible sketch at:

You have until this Friday, October 26!

Inky Paws Challenge #83

This biweekly challenge is a:
Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the above sketch.

Here's my inspiration!

You're the Best by Debbie features Bubbly, Balloon Shaker, Cat Treats, Thankful Thoughts, Newton Loves Cake, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
My card was inspired by my 50th birthday cake which my talented neighbor created for me.

I chose lavender, teal, and yellow for my color combination.  To make the cake I stamped the three-tiered cake from Newton Loves Cake stamp set and trimmed it down to only one layer.  I then stamped the kitty-cone image from Cat Treats. Again I trimmed it down to just the ice cream kitty image. I stamped a hat and trimmed it to fit the kitty's head.  After coloring, I adhered it together.  I think it looks very similar to the actual cake.  I then created my background by using the Bubbly stencil, Distress Ink and textured paste.  Once dried, I cut it out using the  Framework die set. I just love the loopy-loops of the cake image, so I die cut a lavender loopy-loop stripe.  I then pulled out some yellow pattern paper to create the balloon shaker using the Balloon Shaker die set. I stamped the sentiment using the Thankful Thoughts stamp set and added sequins and seed beads. I just love how it all turned out!

Now it's your turn to use the sketch to create your masterpiece!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge!

This isn't a thank you card by Debbie features Newton's Naptime, Thankful Thoughts, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday, and one of my dear friends gave me a very soft, snuggly blanket with cats on it!  Before I even had a chance to use it, my sweet Catapult commandeered it for her own pleasure.  This inspired me to make a thank you card featuring blankets to give to my friend!
My card features:
 Newton's Nap Time stamp set
Thankful Thoughts stamp set
Frames & Flags die set  (a must have!)

And here is my Catapult enjoying my new present and in my craft room no less while I was slaving away at work!  LOL
