I add some fluffy clouds and a sun using the Sky Scene Builder die set. I stamps a big birthday sentiment using the Birthday Essentials stamp set and create layers using the Frames and Flags die set.

Rejoice in Spring by Debbie features The Nutcracker, Cloudy Sky, Easter Lily, Woodland Spring, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I wanted to create a fun spring scene.  When I saw The Library Challenge--Use Ballet Shoes, I knew I had use the little mice ballerinas from the The Nutcracker Squeak stamp set. I hand cut a bunch of flowers from a little flower image from the Woodland Spring stamp set.  I added embossed fluffy clouds using the Cloudy Sky stencil and went back and added distress light blue ink.  I used the Frames & Flags to create the scallop-edged frame as well as the banner.  The sentiment was pulled from the Easter Lily stamp set.  I have to confess, my favorite part of this card are the floral images on the ballerinas' heads.

I've been having so much fun playing with the bunny images from Newton's Nook Designs! I pulled three bunnies to make this sweet spring scene. The sets I used were Woodland SpringWoodland Picnic,  and Hop Into Spring.  I love how you can mix and match the images to create something fun and unique. The foil polka dotted paper is from DCWV. I used the Land Borders and the Sky Scene Builder die sets.  I used my go-to frame set,  Frames & Flags, to create the scallop-edged white frame.  I love how this turned out!  I hope my card will inspire you to create something with polka dots with your Newton's Nook products!  Link up at Inky Paws!

CIC#488--Color Challenge

A new color challenge has started at Cupcake Inspirations!

Can't wait to see how you use pink, pale blue, and mint!

Source

As you can see, we are looking for you to use pinkpale blue and mint on your projects. A lovely spring color palette!
Here's my inspiration:

I pulled out my water colors for this challenge. I used the Peony Blooms by Newton's Nook Designs. On water color paper, I heat embossed the flowers in white. I then shaded the flowers and leaves using my Tombow markers. I then pulled out my water color paints and flicked some blue water spots over the entire paper.  I heat embossed the thank you sentiment in black.  I used a punch to cut off the square corners at the bottom. I added a pink satin ribbon at the top and a twine bow. A few sequins completed the card.

I hope you are inspired to join CIC for using these sweet colors!

Debbie

I made two cards using the  Garden Mice stamp set. I used the Frames and Flags die set to create the polka-dotted frame. I cut an oval out and used it on my second card. I used the same mouse with the pink tulip.  The many thanks sentiment is from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set.

Both are simple cards, but they are so sweet!  I adore these little mice!

I used the  Waves stencil to create my watery background and the Fancy Edges Tag die set for both the waves tag purple tag beneath. Using the Framework die set I cut the frame with a postage-stamp edge. The banner is from  Frames & Flags die set. I used sand embossing powder.

May Your Coffee Be Strong

Today's card feature a coffee-lovin' feline from the What the Froth by The Cat's Pajamas. I've been wanting to play with this set for quite some time, so when I spied the TCP challenge using stencils, I just had to pull out one of my favorite stencil sets--Plaid stencil set by Newton's Nook Designs. I used the NND's Frames Squared die set for the center panel. I thought the feline looked quite regal in his plush chair, so I decided to use lavender--all shades of purple are my favorite!  I added a couple of enamel silver-glitter dots.

Aloha Friend

I wanted to squeeze in cards for this fun Twofer Card Challenge--Fruit!

I used two stamp sets for my card with a twist in how I used them.
The cute koala is from Newton's Nook Designs--Pina Koala.
The beautiful tropical background is from NND's Tropical Fringe stamp set.
Finding different ways to use the frame stamps by NND has been fun. I decided to cut it into quarters, trimmed out the center and then stagger the pieces down the diagonal of my card.

Thanks Darnell for a super fun challenge!
Hugs,
Debbie

Here's my inspiration!

Be happy together by Debbie features Toucan Party, Tropical Leaves, Fancy Edges Tag, Framework, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I decided to make two similar cards using the same stamps, stencil, dies and papers. It was fun to see how differently they turned out.  I used three colors of green Distress Oxide inks, did some masking, and used the Tropical Leaves Stencil to create a tropical background. I used the postage-edged frame die from the Framework die set. I cut out a section and replaced it with a white card stock. The piece was then used on the second card atop of a cork card base.  I added a cork banner using the Frames & Flags die set and a white banner for the second card. I die cut the tags from the Fancy Edges Tag die set. I distressed leaves on one tag and for the other I simply distressed the outer edges.  The main attraction--the toucan couple--was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and the Toucan Party stamp set. I added the sentiment to the first card, but thought the second card was too busy, so I opted not to add any sentiment. I added two colors of green twine to finish both tags.

I hope you are inspired to pull out your Newton's Nook Designs products and join us!  We love seeing your work.  No NND products?  No worries.  There are free digital images you can use!

Happy Crafting!
Hugs,
Debbie
