mmm... coffee

I had more time tonight for another card, so here it is!  I used a stencil and Distress Ink to make the background. I then stamped (The Alley Way) some coffee cup stains. I added the the strip, vellum, and twine. I stamped the coffee cup (The Alley Way) and colored with Spectrum Noir markers and adhered.  The steam was stamped on vellum and adhered.  I finished it up with the (The Alley Way). With a little dot finished it off!  Now I'm thirsty and in need of some caffeine!

Bad Kitty

I found some craft time tonight, so I pulled out the mischevious Newton who has decided to go snorkeling. Isn't he just darling?  I colored him with Spectrum Noir markers before adding some Glossy Accents. I die cut the circle before embossing.  I adhered the ribbon and stamped the sentiment. Then I added foam tape to slightly off center the die cut circle.  Then I added some dots!  Thanks for stopping by!  D~

Always Thoughtful

I recently won two amazing sets from Altenew--Bejeweled & Striped Florals. I am just loving them!  I watercolored the flower using TomBow markers. I then stamped the leaves on copper foiled paper (DCWV). I die cut the flourishes. For the background, I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist--Jack Frost-- before sewing on a piece of vellum. I assembled everything then added some silver sequins and copper strips!

CIC309--Girls' Night Out--Canvas Corp

Happy Mother's Day and welcome to a new week at Cupcake Inspirations.  I've been eagerly awaiting this challenge because I love the fun products from our fabulous sponsor--Canvas Corp.  They are generously providing a fabulous prize for our randomly chosen winner. The winner will receive a $50 prize package of Canvas Corp's Mixology Collection products and matching embellishments.

For my project, I made a box with 6 fun tags.  I traced the box from a template and hand cut out.  I covered it with the paper from the Canvas Corp-Mixology collection.  For the tags (both on the box and inside the box), I cut out different drink images from the paper and colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I added Glossy Accents to add some dimension and used a glitter pen for some added sparkle.

I die cut the below tags using a Paper Smooches die cut. Then I sewed a trapezoid piece of burlap to each tag. I colored coordinated ribbon to attach to the top. I then stamped the sentiment (Paper Smooches) to each tag.

Happy 6th Birthday

My grandson will be turning 6 this year, so I decided to make his card a bit early. I was inspired (again) by the Red Studio Carpet "The Iron Giant" challenge. I pulled out an old stamp set (Recollections) that I haven't used in ages, but like too much to de-stash.  I embossed(wheels & gears) the background and used some Echo Park paper with more gears. I used some Paper Smooches' dies and birthday sentiment. I assembled it all together!

I stamped the sentiment.  For the background, I embossed a piece of Black Magic by core'dinations.  I then distressed it to get the lavender to show through. The final touches were more stars and a bit of ribbon and twine. Thanks for stopping by to visit! ~D
