There's still time for the current Inky Paws Challenge!

Color challenge

Create a project using the above colors..
Here's my inspiration to help inspire you.
Oh la la by Debbie features Newton Loves Paris by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I'm showcasing Newton Dreams of Paris (again). This set is so fun to play with. I fussy cut the Eiffel Tower and glued it to some netting material to add a bit of texture. Then I paper pieced the little sweater and colored those cute kittens with Spectrum Noir markers. Oh la la!  :)

Want a chance to win some Newton's Nook Designs, then be sure to link up.
You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, August 25, 2017 at Midnight CST. The winner and DT favorites will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  So grab your favorite NND stamps to play along and make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

Perk Up!

I had time to play with some great challenges. This card features YNS--Perk Up! I used cork board paper to make the background squares. I then stamped and colored the images, fussy cut them out, and adhered them to the cork. I kept the color scheme very "coffee"ish.  I liked how I created the steps needed to perk up--grind, brew, drink up!  :)

Challenges:

CIC419--Frantic Stamper

We are sponsored this week by Frantic Stamper, Inc.

Frantic Stamper, Inc. is generously providing a $25 gift certificate to our randomly chosen winner.

Each challenge, we provide a cupcake to inspire you to create a card  or other craft project following our suggested theme or colors.  Here is this week's cupcake (linked to original source):

For my card, I used Frantic Stamper's Diamond Grid Panel Die.  I die cut the panel and then laid the panel over my card based. Using Oxide Inks, I then sponged on the ink.  I just love how these panel dies can be used as a stencil.  Fun!  I then stamped and colored the wizard and owl (Newton's Nook Designs).  I then sprinkled on some sequins.  I love how this all turned out.  :)

Make Puddles

With school just around the corner, I wanted to take time to play with some challenges before I'm drowning in school work. (Pun intended.)  Today's card features this darling image from Newton's Nook Designs.  With my recent move to Northeastern Washington, I think this is a perfect sentiment for the upcoming rainy season!  I paper pieced using papers from Authentique-Seasons Essentials. I just love those dark blues with the green...gorgeous!

Inky Paws Challenge #52 Reminder

It's time for a new challenge at Inky Paws!

Sketch challenge

Create a project using this sketch.
Here's my inspiration to help inspire you.

With my recent move to Washington state, I knew that this was a must have stamp set!  With the rainy season just around the bend, I plan to make many cards to brighten someone's day.  I used watercolors to create a watery background then stamped and embossed the image and sentiment (from NND's Newton's Rainy Day). I added a couple of dots that reminded me of water drops.  I really like how it turned out!

For my card I used Newton's Nook Designs' Love & Chocolate. I kept the card super CAS. The sentiment is perfect for all those who love chocolate!  I do wish chocolate would cure my cold! I truly hate traveling on airplanes.  Way too many germs!  Anyway, thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #52

It's time for a new challenge at Inky Paws!

Sketch challenge

Create a project using this sketch.
Here's my inspiration to help inspire you.

I have totally fallen love with Newton Rides West from Newton's Nook Designs.  I just love that you can create little wanted posters for a kitty.  For my card, I used some western-themed paper. I add twine and a brad to make the sign look like it is hiding.  I distressed the edges of the poster to make the sign look aged.  I just loved how this turned out!  :)

Mother Day Cupcake Idea

For my card, I used Garden Whimsy from Newton's Nook Designs, one of our regular sponsors.  I just adore this sweet little bunny.  This set is retiring and is only $8.99!  Be sure to pick your set up before it's too late!  After die cutting the image, I decided on a gingham background. I wanted the image to be the center attraction, so I didn't add additional embellishments. I colored the sweet rabbit with Distress Oxide inks. Thanks for stopping by! Deb

Create a project with a Tropical Theme

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, July 28, 2017 at Midnight CST. The winner and DT favorites will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

I was inspired by those dark, rich colors, so I created a background using Distress inks. I then stamped the flower and stem from NND's Fanciful Florals using my Misti.  I stamped several times to ensure a solid, bold image then heat embossed in black.  I added a bit of twine to finish it off.  To see more amazing inspiration and link up your cards, visit Inky Paws Challenge.

Inky Paws Challenge #50

It's time for another chance to get your paws inky!  Before I get started I wanted to share some fabulous changes.  Four amazing new members have joined the IPC team, and they are amazingly talented! Please meet:

Emily Lauritzen

Papercrafting has been a huge part of my life for quite some time now, but a few years back I shifted my focus from scrapbooking to cards. I just loved the excitement and joy I saw in my loved ones when they received a handmade card and I wanted to share that feeling with the rest of the world.

My card style is ever changing but the basis stays the same-use the products I love and create what makes me happy. I love to put together a striking colorful background and add some simple layers to build the card up.

My husband and I live in gorgeous Seattle, WA with our 3 kitties-Storm, Cloud, and Ezio. They certainly put a smile on both me and my husbands face and our lives wouldn't be complete without them!

I am beyond excited to be a part of this grand new adventure on the inspiration team here at Newton's Nook!!
Zsofia Molnar

"Hello Everyone, my name is Zsofia, I live in Hungary with my two little kids. I am married to the most wonderful Egyptian man ever who is my biggest support on my crafty journey. I started card making 3 years ago, when I realised that scrapbooking needs so much more time than what I have with 2 little ones.

I love colours and layers and I am fond of cute critters. I also like to try new techniques and challenge myself all the time. You can also see my creations on my blog: safsafdesign. I love Newton's Nook Designs and I am thrilled to join the Inky Paws Challenge Team. I hope to inspire you every week."
Diane Morales
2sistersproject

Hello Newton’s Nook fans I’m Diane Morales. My motto is “do what you love and share it with others”.

I live in the Historic City of San Juan Capistrano, Ca with my Husband and the tribe of three cats.

Like most, I started in scrapbooking and moved into full time cardmaking about 2 years ago. I love cardmaking! Although, am quite fond of shaped cards and hand painting, I can an honestly say I do not have a defined style. (I like to try all kind of techniques)

I first fell in love with Newton’s Nook when I was looking for a stamp set that best reflect how my cats acted.  “Newton’s Antics” was my first set, and it has been LOVE ever since. When I am not “procraftinating” you can find me with a cup of coffee, cooking, or gardening. You can find me on Instagram as  2. sistersproject   #dianeiscrafty
1st we have some new amazing design members! Their talent is absolutely amazing!
Andrea Shell
Blissfully Scrappy

I'm so excited to be joining the new Inky Paws Challenge Design Team (I may have let out a little shriek when I got the invitation)!  I am happily married to my soulmate, a wonderful man who encourages me in my papercrafting obsession.  We have two children who bring us much joy (as well as give us a few headaches), an adorable Westie, and a bunny.  I've been scrapbooking for 12 years and fell in love with cardmaking a little over a year ago.  When I'm not crafting, you can find me doing home improvement projects, gardening, reading, or volunteering.  I look forward to sharing my projects with you and hope I can inspire you!

Other Changes to the challenge:

IPC is going to be bi-weekly!  No more 5th week to have to sit and wait!  There will now be one RANDOM winner of a $20 prize (yes, #20!!!).  Last, the IPC ladies will each pick her favorite entry to spotlight, too!  I'm so excited about all the new changes!

Now onto the challenge:
