Here's my inspiration!

Let your dreams blossom by Debbie features Dainty Daisies and Gingham by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I decided to combine my orange daisies from the Dainty Daisies stamp set with gingham.  I started by distressing the bottom third of my card in black and using the Gingham stencil.  I added my orange flowers using some foam tape.  I added a bit of green twine.  I stamped the sentiment to the right of the flowers to balance my card.  I finished by added some black enameled dots.  It was a simple card to make, but I think the gingham works beautifully with the flowers!

Now it's your turn to link up at Inky Paws!
Can't wait to see your creations!
Hugs,
Debbie

My admin has been encouraging us to take care of ourselves during this difficult time.  One suggestion was to try a new hobby.  Well, I'd been thinking about this for awhile but looking at my craft room, I knew I had no room to start a new hobby.  Then looking over my budget, I decided I should start anything new.  Therefore, I decided to use my supplies on hand and repurposed them.  Walking around my neighborhood, I've noticed many times painted rocks.  I know this has been a fad for awhile, but I've never stopped enjoying seeing these little pieces of art that bring smiles to those who happen upon them.  Not being much of an artist, I decided to use my stamps instead of drawing on them.  This particular rock is sporting Newton's Nook Designs--Newton Scoots By.   After some trial and error, I found Stazon ink works the best.  Before applying Mod Podge, I go back over the lines with a ultra fine tip permanent marker.  I am still experimenting with stamping on rocks, but it has been fun to use products I already love on a new medium.  Now I get the joy of leaving a bit of "love" at my neighbors' houses!

Maybe you could try your hand at stamping and painting a rock!
Hugs, Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #123 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration
for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.

Create a project using the challenge sketch!

Today I have more inspiration for this Challenge:

It's your birthday by Debbie features Holding Happiness by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I am still loving the lovely lady stamp sets from Newton's Nook.  This week I used the three ladies from the Holding Happiness stamp set. For my background, I drew in lines and added knot holes to give it a wooden panel effect.  I added some foam to the back to give a bit of dimension and added twine and glossy accents for the final touches.

I hope the sketch and my card will inspire you to join the Inky Paws Challenge!  You might be the lucky winner of a store credit of $20.  (With the May release happening this week, wouldn't that come in handy?)  Link up at Inky Paws!

Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the Sketch.

Here's my inspiration!

For a special teacher features Classy Teachers, Framework, and Darling Hearts by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I created a simple card this week with this amazing sketch!  Last week was teacher appreciation week, and I work with three amazing teachers!  Thus I was inspired to use the Classy Teachers stamp set.  I used the Framework die set with the alphabet paper. I used Spectrum Noir markers and lots of Glossy Accents. I used the Darling Hearts die set for the little hearts at the top for a pop of color.

I so hope you will join us for this fabulous sketch challenge!  You have until May 22, 2020!
Hugs,
Debbie

My card features this darling artist creating a tropical flamingo card. The artsy feline is from the Newton's Crafty Cardio stamp set. For the painting I combined the flamingo from the Flirty Flamingos stamp set with the palm trees and island from the Paradise Palms stamp set.  I used the Frames & Flags die set to create the two layers.

Inky Paws Challenge #122

This biweekly challenge is a:

Color Challenge

Create a project using the challenge colors-Coral Pink, Mint GreenWhite, and Black.

Here's my inspiration!

Scootin' by to say hello by Debbie features Newton Scoots By, Cloudy Sky, Speech Bubbles, Frames & Flags, Land Borders, and Newton's Valentine by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I am so excited about the colors of this biweekly challenge!  I have so many ideas for how to use them!  For today's card, I wanted to use this darling scooter image from the Newton Scoots By stamp set. I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers and added some polka dots to the seat and stripes to the scarf using a white gel pen.  I made the sky by mixing glitter embossing powder with embossing paste.  After smearing this mixture over the Cloudy Sky stencil and hit it with some heat.  For the hill and grass, I used the Land Borders die set and Distress ink to get the pretty mint color.  Once I assembled these two layers, I used the Frames & Flags die set.  I love the scallop-edged die!  I added the scooter image by adding some dimensional tape to the top portion and tape to the lower portion to give it a bit of dimension.  I found those sweet flowers from the Newton's Valentine stamp set and colored them in mint and coral.  I die cut a speech bubble from black card stock using the  Speech Bubbles die set and white embossed the sentiment.  I used dimensional foam to pop it up.  I wrapped white/black twine around the card a couple of times before adhering it to a black card base.

Now it's your turn to use these amazing colors with your NND products!
You might be the lucky winner to a $20 store credit!
You have until Friday, May 8, 2020.
Hugs,
Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #121 Reminder

Today I have more birthday inspiration for Newton's current challenge!

Create a project using the Theme-Birthday:

My inspiration uses the little ladies from the Holding Happiness stamp set and sentiments from the Birthday Essentials stamp set.

Yay! Make a wish by Debbie features Holding Happiness and Birthday Essentials by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

I've been a bit obsessed with this stamp set lately.  I stamped a bunch up and decided to play with my markers (Spectrum Noir).  I decided to color each set with just one color family for a monochromatic effect.  I loved how they turned out.  (Though I swear I made a set with the DR family, but with me having to double up my craft room as a class room, I seem to have misplaced it!)
The top left uses the Bright Pink family.
The top right uses the True Blue family.
The bottom left uses the Blue Turquoise family. (My fave)
The bottom right uses the Coral family.
Not shown is the Dark Red family because I can't find it!  LOL

I added black/white diagonal washi tape (my all time fave) with black heat embossed sentiments and a bit of glossy accents on a couple of balloons.

I went with a tall, skinny card base so I could really let the ladies shine!

I hope you will be inspire to join the IPC-Birthday Challenge!  There's a $20 NND store credit up for grabs for one lucky participant!

Debbie

Special Delivery by Debbie features Mountains, Whispering Pines, Winston's Lake House, Snow Globe Scenes, Newton's Happy Mail, Love Owls, and Sky Scene Builder by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
The scene in my card was inspired by friends near me who live in remote areas in the PNW where Internet and even cell service is limited or nonexistent. For them, getting some "snail" mail is a welcomed way to stay connected to the world.

To create my card I used Distress Inks and Spectrum Noir markers.  I used the Mountains stencil to create the gray mountains in the far background with greener, more rounded mountains in front.  Since I live in the Evergreen State, I added trees in the background using the Whispering Pines stamp set. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the cabin from the Winston's Lake House stamp set before adding more fir trees from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set. In the foreground, Newton from the Newton's Happy Mail stamp set is happily popping his head out of the mailbox with cards he just received from the owl (Love Owls stamp set) flying out of the clouds from the Sky Scene Builder die set. Who wouldn't want to receive this card?  But wait, do you need more inspiration?  Be sure to hop over to Diane Morales blog (and the rest of the NND & IPC teams) to be wowed!

Inky Paws Challenge #121--Birthday Theme

This biweekly challenge is a:

Theme Challenge

Create a project using the theme--Birthday.

You have until Friday, April 24, 2020.

Here's my inspiration!

Zoom Time Let's Party features Newton Dreams of London, Newton Dreams of New York, Newton Celebrates, Newton Rides West, Paradise Palms, Newton's Perfect Wave, and Aloha Newton by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I have to say I am thrilled with how this card came about.  With all the social distancing and stay-at-home orders in effect, a friend recently celebrating her birthday via Zoom!  It was a lot of fun and gave me the inspiration to capture this crazy time in history with a Zoom birthday card.  It also gave me an excuse to use lots of my Newton's Nook stamp sets. To begin with, I partitioned my card into six equal rectangles. I then created six different scenes with felines Zoom each other.  I used the following sets:

 Newton Rides West stamp set
Newton's Perfect Wave stamp set with palm trees from the Paradise Palms stamp set
Newton Celebrates stamp set
 Aloha Newton stamp set

One of the many benefits using Newton's Nook Designs stamp sets is the ease of mixing and matching images.  I think I may make another card, but bigger!  That way I can use even more images.  Maybe one from outer space!

Now it's your time to create your birthday master piece!  Be sure to link up at Inky Paws Challenge!
Hugs,
Debbie

Time for a new Cupcake Inspiration Challenge!

Here is this challenge's cupcake!

Here's my inspiration to whet your appetite!

I kept this card clean and simple.  I used Newton's Nook Designs Cat-itude stamp set. The super fun diagonal stripes are from the Avery Elle Naughty or Nice stamp set. To make them really bold, I used my Misti.  I added some black splatters as well as Enamel Accents by Rnger.

I hope you will come create with us at Cupcake Inspirations!
Hugs,
Debbie
