Inky Paws Challenge #115 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration
for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Theme Challenge--Add Hearts!

Create a project using hearts.

Here's my inspiration for this Challenge

Love by Debbie features Newton's Sweetheart, Darling Heart, and Fancy Edges Tag by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I decided to make a little tag, so I used the Fancy Edges Tag die set. I made a pink tag and a black tag that I scalloped the edges. I then embossed white card stock with cat heads. Then I die cut the heart using the Darling Hearts die set. Then I die cut the love sentiment from the same die set. I added a pink and silver heart. After adhering the heart to the tag, I colored the kitty couple from the Newton's Sweetheart stamp and fussy cut them out. I added silver twine behind the couple before adhering the image with dimensional tape.   A fun little card that will work purr-fectly on top of a Valentine's gift!

Hope you will be inspired to join the Inky Paws Hearts Challenge!

Can't wait to see what you make!

Debbie

Love by Debbie features Newton's Christmas Cuddles and Darling Hearts by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

I decided to create a trio of CAS heart-themed cards. My first (and favorite) is silver and pink. My second is black and pink.  My final one is gold and pink.  The hearts and sentiments were cut using the Darling Hearts die set.  I wanted the sentiment to have dimension, so I made several die cuts and layered them. The sweet felines were stamped using the Newton's Christmas Cuddles stamp set. I sprinkled some pink sequins on for a bit of bling!

Now it's your turn to make a project using Hearts and your Newton's Nook Designs products!

Inky Paws Challenge Reminder #114

There's still time to join us at Inky Paws!

Here'a a refresher.
Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the sketch.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

Dream by Debbie features Newton's Antics, Pawprint Shaker, Newton's Day Dream, Speech Bubbles, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
For my card, I used several papers from the Doodlebug Design's Kitten Smitten paper pad.  I really liked the fish skeleton paper, so I pulled out the Pawprint Shaker die set and the Cat-itude stamp set which both have fish skeleton elements. I used the largest die from the Framework die set for the teal layer.  I really like the postage-stamp edge. Then I used a die from the Frames & Flags and cut several layers--fish paper, yellow paper and white card stock.  Once I had the yellow and fish papers the way I wanted, I used the Pawprint Shaker die set to get the the "ribbon" element of the sketch. I adhered to a white base, so you could see the die cut kitty head and fish more easily. I then added a sleeping kitty from the Newton's Antics stamp set. I colored her with Prismacolor pencils to look like a calico. for the dream bubble, I used a die from Speech Bubbles die set and embossed the sentiment from the Newton's Day Dream stamp set. I then added a couple of pink fish skeletons using the  Cat-itude stamp set.  I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops for the dream bubble and sequins as final touches.

I hope I've inspired you to pull out your Newton's Nook Designs stamps and use the sketch!  There's a $20 store credit for one lucky participant.  Don't have any Newton's Nook Designs stamps, yet?  No worries. Use one of the digital freebies.   Link up at Inky Paws Challenge!

Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the sketch above.

You have TWO WEEKS to play along Deadline to enter is Friday, January 17, 2020, at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Here's my inspiration!

Furr-ever in our hearts by Debbie features Furr-ever Friends, Sky Borders, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
One of the hardest events in life is the loss of a beloved pet.  That's why I decided to make a condolence card to have on hand to help a grieving pet owner. When I lost one of my cats, I remember a friend who gave me a beautiful poem, Over the Rainbow for Pets. The poem was very comforting, so I decided to create a rainbow for my center panels' background using the Frames & Flags die set. I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed white hearts.  I  added a vellum cloud panel using the Sky Borders die set. I then heat embossed a cat from the Furr-ever Friends stamp set in black. I added a shimmery ribbon and a black and white twine bow. I added a scattering of sequins. Before adhering the panel with foam tape, I added a black and white washi tape.

I can't wait to see how you interpret the sketch.  Remember to use your Newton's Nook Designs product and link up at Inky Paws!  You might be the lucky winner to a $20 store credit or a top pick by the Inky Paws team!
Happy crafting!

Inky Paws Challenge #113 Reminder

I wanted to share another card using the IPC Colors!

Color Challenge

Create a project using the colors
Lime GreenTealBlue and Silver.

Here's my inspiration:

Life is magical by Debbie features Frames & Flags, Forest Scene Builder, Land Borders, Penguin Pile, and Newton's Toboggan by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
For my card, I used the Frames & Flags die set to create the blue scallop-edged background. I then used distress alcohol inks--teal, silver, and green--to create the next layer. I used to die sets---Land Borders and Forest Scene Builder--to create the trees and hills in both silver foil card stock and the distressed ink paper mentioned earlier.  I stamped, colored and fussy cute the sweet penguin trio from the Penguin Pile stamp set.  I stamped the fun sentiment using the Newton's Toboggan stamp set.
I added some glossy accents to the scarves and hats.

I hope you will be inspired to join us at Inky Paws with  your project using these wonderful colors.

Here's my inspiration!

Debbie's card features Christmas Haul, Holiday Fringe, Frames & Flags, and Cameo Frame by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
For my card, I used several products to create a "package" wrapped in ribbon.
I began with the white, scallop-edged frame by die cutting with he Frames and Flags die set. I then used the Holiday Fringe stamp set to stamp and color using the challenge colors.  I have to admit that I found this a bit challenging with no warm colors to use!  I then trimmed the image and cut it into four equal pieces. I arranged the four pieces on the scallop-edged layer. I then made four slits in which I inserted the silver ribbon.  I wanted it to look like a present wrapped with ribbon. Instead of putting a bow on top, I die cut the dark teal foil frame using the Cameo Frame die set. I then stamped and colored the package-laden girl from the Christmas Haul stamp set, I added dimensional tape to make her pop a bit.

Now it's your turn to create a card/project using the challenge colors and link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!

Wishing you a very, happy holiday season!
Hugs,
Debbie

Inky Paws Challenge #112 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration
for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Theme Challenge

Create a project using the theme--Snow Day.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

Bring on the snow by Debbie features Mountains, Land Borders, Framework, Newton's Curious Christmas, and Newton's Toboggan by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I am just loving these snow-loving kittens!  I thought it would be fun to add the kitten behind the snowman from the  Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set to a card with newly released  Newton's Toboggan stamp set.  Can't you just imagine all the fun these felines are having as they play in the snow!  I distressed the top of my card in blue and lavender then used the Mountains stencil to add some distant mountains in dark gray.  I lightly stamped white on the tops to make them look like they were snow capped. I then added a couple hilly layers using the  Land Borders die set. I cut all of this out using the Framework die set to create the postage-stamp edge. Once I'd adhered all the images, I went back and stamped some snowflakes in white and added some sequins to mimic snowflakes. I loved how playful this card turned out.

Hope you will have time to ink up your NND stamps and stencils to join us this week.
Hugs,
Debbie

Theme Challenge

Create a project using the theme--Snow Day.

For your chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs, you have until December 13, 2019 to enter your Snow Day project using your NND products!

Here's my inspiration!

Happy Holidays by Debbie featuring Newton's Curious Christmas, Petite Snow, Forest Scene Builder, Stylish Stockings, Snow Globe Scenes, Land Borders, and Holiday Greetings by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
For my card, I got a bit carried away and used seven different NND products!  I just love how you can mix and match NND products to create a unique project. When I looked at my snowman stamps, I wanted to use the kitty and snowman image from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set again. I also noticed that wee little snowman image from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set. Then I thought it would be fun to have the kitty helping the snowman hang up his stocking before Santa Claws arrives. I die cut the stocking using the Stylish Stockings die set. I then stamped the wee little snowman and colored the stocking. I hung up the stocking between two birch trees that I cut using the Forest Scene Builder die set. All of this was added to the snowy sky background using the Petite Snow stencil. I then cut out some hills using the  Land Borders die set. I used double sided adhesive and sprinkled glitter on them. I added the snowman between the hill layers.  For my sentiment, I die cut using the Holiday Greetings die set. I again used double sided adhesive, so I could add a silvery glitter.

Hopefully the snowman was good all year, so Santa Claws will fill up the stocking!  Now for you chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs, link up your project by December 13!
Hugs,
Debbie

Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the sketch.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

Debbie's card features Gingham, Newton's Curious Christmas, Frames Squared, Frames & Flags, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I wanted to use some dark, rich colors and this darling snowman image to create my card.
I used the Gingham stencil with Distress Oxide ink--black soot. I went with the large postage frame die from the Framework die set. I added a dark olive green and garnet red elements using the Frames & Flags and the Frames Squared die sets.  (I love how these die sets can be mixed and matched!) I then stamped up and colored the kitten peeking out from the snowman image from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set.

Now it's your turn to create a card using this fun sketch and link up at

Warm and cozy holiday wishes by Debbie features Snow Globe Scenes, Holiday Stockings, Winston's Lake House, Framework, Frames Squared, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
I wanted to make a holiday card with a warm, homey feel. I used a combination of plaid and gingham papers using several die sets from Newton's Nook. The plaid layer was made using the  Framework die set. I created the red "square" element using the Frames Squared die set. The gingham banner was cut using the Frames & Flags die set. The sentiment was added to a circle die cut using the Frames Squared die set. I created the cabin using the Winston's Lake House stamp set. The car carrying the Christmas tree is from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set. I added a bit of jute twine to finish it off.

Inky Paws Challenge #110 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration
for our current challenge!

Here'a a refresher.
Colors Challenge

Create a project using the colors--teal, green, pink, and white.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

Dreaming of a pink Christmas by Debbie features Festive Flamingoes, Frames & Flags, and Fancy Edges Tag by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

I am back with another flamingo card.  If you missed my Halloween Flamingo post,  my mom and I are having a "flamingo war," so I am committed to making her a flamingo card for the major holidays.  I haven't quite decided how to make a Thanksgiving one with these cute pink birds.  Stay tuned!

For this card, I went with my go to die set--Frames & Flags. I used the scallop-edged frame to give the card a nice soft edge.  I then repeatedly stamped the flamingos from the Festive Flamingos stamp set in various directions to set the stage for the tag. The tag was cut using the Fancy Edges Tag die set with the scallop-edged die.  I added pink and teal twine for the tassel.  I loved the sentiment, "Dreaming of a pink Christmas," and thought it would look good in a "dream" bubble, which I die cut using the Speech Bubbles die set. I added a little flamingo to pull the tag and background together. This little guy came from the Cozy Campers stamp set. And who should be fast asleep and dreaming?  My favorite little sloth from the Slothy Christmas stamp set. I added some Nuvo pearl drops for the thought circles.  Can't wait to give this card to my mom.  I know she will love to "hate" it!  LOL

Be sure to link up your project at Inky Paws Challenge for a chance to be a favorite and/or a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

My card today is featuring the newly released Holiday Fringe stamp set. I colored it in many shades of pinks, teals, and greens. I added a white scallop-edged frame behind it using the  Frames Squared die set. I added several branches of pine as well as holly leaves using the Pines & Holly die set. The sweet kitty playing in the present comes from the newly released Purr-fect Present stamp set.  For my sentiment, I used the Joyful sentiment from the newly released Main Street Christmas die set.  I die cut three words and stacked them together to make the sentiment pop off the page. I added a jewel to dot the eye as well as some glossy accents.

I used several newly released NND products which are just so amazing!  Be sure to link up your NND project for a chance to win $20 store credit, so you can get your inky hands on these fun stamps and dies!

Welcome to this week's new challenge!

This week we have the colors, red, orange, and yellow to play with .

For my card, I challenged myself to make an orange, red, and yellow Christmas card.  I have to admit this was very challenging as I so wanted to add some green!  I used Newton's Nook Designs' newly released Newton's Christmas Kittens stamp set. I added the red sentiment by die cutting the words from NND's Holiday Greetings die set. I added a glittery Santa's hat to the daddy feline for a bit of sparkle!

Hope you will be inspired to join us at Cupcake Inspirations!

Debbie
